The Shriners Hospitals for Children Open will reunite an impressive field of golfers at the TPC Summerlin golf course. US Open winner Bryson DeChambeau returns to the field with already one victory in the event in 2018.
Yet, he will be in no shortage of worthwhile opponents for the upcoming bout with 2017’s champion, Patrick Cantlay, priced at (+1800) and third in the overall event.
Over ten of the best golfers in the world will be joining the field at Summerlin on Thursday, October 8, offering one of the most spectacular golf showdowns this year. The Children Open is just one of the events you can watch if you are a golf aficionado.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the Atlantic, the BMW PGA Championship will kick off at the Wentworth Club, Surrey. We have odds for both. A lot is at stake with the winner taking home 500 FedExCup points.

DeChambeau Returns Following a Strong US Open
Winning the US Open wasn’t exactly a surprise, as Bryson DeChambeau is long-touted as one of the best golfers of the season. His stats performance in the PGA Tour has been impressive enough to attract confidence from sportsbooks who list him in the top 5 selections of all tournaments he participates in.
He holds only 7 career victories, the 27-year-old is already showing a lot of promise for the 2021 season. He is still FedExCup Rank 1 and the player already has experience in the field, winning the event back in 2018.
DeChambeau will face a fairly easy field in the first round, teeing off against Matthew Wolf (+2500) and Cameron Champ.

Can Patrick Cantlay Bring a Victory Home?
Considering his past experience in the field, Patrick Cantlay seems a very good pick. He’s posted at (+1800) which gives the opportunity to consider him as an underdog in the making. After his victory in 2017, he has had a rather patchy showing.
His opening game for the 2021 season at the US Open landed him T43, an experience he has certainly learned from. He did very well in both the 2017 and 2018 editions, though, and he actually lost to DeChambeau by one in 2018.
If there is one underdog you want to bet on, we think Cantlay is more than a great pick with a lot of added value for your betting bankroll.
Tony Finau Offers Value Betting Opportunity
Tony Finau (+1800) is another great pick you should most certainly root for. He seems to be a true underdog here with his discreet T8 finish in the US Open. Sure, he is FedExCup Rank 38 and that is not too reassuring, but his last four majors were T8, T4, cut, and T4.
If anything, Finau has shown consistency. We understand why you may be a little fidgety to back him outright, but keep an eye out for him.
Update: The post has been updated to reflect Tony Finau confirmed Covid-19 diagnosis. Finau will be skipping the event on Thursday.
