Bayer Leverkusen vs. Wolfsburg Preview, Odds and Picks

Bayer Leverkusen vs. Wolfsburg Preview

Bayer Leverkusen is in excellent shape and is looking for a chance to interfere with the Bundesliga title race. Of course, they would need to see Borussia beating Bayern Munich, and then to close in, which is not that unrealistic as many believe. On the other side, Wolfsburg is chasing the European competitions and that sixth position, which secures the qualifiers for the Europa League.

Leverkusen Looking Red-Hot at the Moment

The hosts played 12 straight games in which they haven’t lost and are on a streak of five consecutive wins right now.

The Company’s Eleven as the fans call them were superior following the restart of the season, defeating Werder in Bremen 1-4, and Borussia in Monchengladbach 1-3. This latter match was very important for both sides, as they fight for the Champions League spot, and a potential sneak into the title race, as we explained earlier.

Bayer is one very offensive-minded team. They often concede goals, but even more frequent score, and in the latest 17 events, Leverkusen scored fewer than twice on just two occasions. Three games throughout that span didn’t see both teams score.

Kevin Volland and Lars Bender are still not available to play.

Wolves Seeking for Its Form

Wolfsburg was defeated at home by Borrusia Dortmund last weekend, 0-2. We can’t say that the hosts were inferior in that match, but it seemed that the Millionaires played with 50% of their power.

Now, that is something frustrating for the Wolves’ fans. They are aware that the win against Augsburg on the road wasn’t a product of good play, but luck. If it weren’t for VAR, which canceled the goal of the hosts, who know what would be the final result.

In general, even before COVID-19 pause, Wolfsburg didn’t play well, and they posted one victory in five events.

The situation with injuries is highly problematic for the guests. Joshua Guilavougi, Mamoudou Karamoko, Paulo Otavio, William, and Yannick Gerhardt are all out for the match.

Head to Head Meetings

Interestingly in their matchups, the guests won four times in a row. Bayer didn’t allow a single goal in the previous two events, winning both. The one in the first part of this campaign played in Wolfsburg finished 0-2 for the guests, with Bellarabi and Paulinho netting one goal each.

We might even say that besides Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayern Munich, this is the second-best game of the entire round. Be sure that nothing less than a true battle would be seen here.

A lot is at stake, and there won’t be any calculations. We believe that the hosts are a better side and that they have what it takes to beat the Wolves without any problems. The odds on Bayer’s win are -125, and from our point of view, it is a good offer, which needs to be taken.
