- The LA Chargers will square off with the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium.
- This is the clash that might have big implications on the AFC standings.
- Both teams are coming off a win, against the same rival – Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Chargers and the Bengals have playoff hopes, but it seems that the ruthless competition in the AFC might prevent both of these units from reaching the postseason. Currently, the Bengals are in a slightly better situation, but that could change in a blink of an eye.

Chargers vs Bengals Vegas Odds
First Big Test for Herbert
Jonathan Herbert won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, breaking multiple records in his first NFL season and setting standards for the newcomers. Overall, he’s been excellent since joining the league, but the first big test for the youngster is ahead of him.
With 24 TDs and 10 picks, we might say that Herbert has had a solid year so far. But the evaluation of his work will come at the end. If the Chargers reach the playoff, the grade will be positive. If not…
The key in this event will be Austin Ekeler, who is coming off a four-TD game against the Steelers. He has 1,077 yards from the scrimmage this season, yet in this particular case, Ekeler needs to be at his best in rushing to help Herbert and ease up the pressure on his QB.
Bengals Searching Third Straight Win
We’ve seen some pretty nasty blowouts this year. But the way the Bengals trashed the Steelers… boy, this was harsh. Joe Burrow and the company won 41-10, inflicting one of the toughest losses to Pittsburgh this season, getting back in the race for the AFC North division title.
Though, Burrow wasn’t in the center of attention here because Joe Mixon took all the publicity, rushing for 165 yards on 28 carries and adding two touchdowns. Overall the Bengals rand for 198 yards, and Burrow too added one rushing TD too.
BJ Hill was excellent, having one sack and two tackles for losses, and the entire defense put up great numbers. Mike Hilton had a pick-six, returning the interception all the way home for 24 yards. Eli Apple couldn’t score his pick, but he returned it for 50 yards.
Head to Head – LAC Won Last Year
The Chargers were better than the Bengals back in 2020. The competition took place in Cinci, and the guests returned home with a 16-13 triumph. It was the second straight success for the franchise from LA against the Bengals.
NFL Picks Today
The Bengals’ defense looks pretty powerful in the last two games. We are aware that this team produces massive oscillation, but after beating the Raiders on the road, and humiliating the Steelers at home, they are our choice in this event. At the moment of writing this article, the spread on the hosts is -2.5, which shouldn’t be an issue for Zac Taylor’s crew to cover.
