- The Philadelphia Eagles desperately need a win in New York over the Jets.
- Philly is still in the playoff hunt but with much slimmer chances than a week before.
- Meanwhile, the Jets won last week following three defeats in a row.
The Eagles lost in New York last week, but they have a chance to make up for that failure. Winning against the Jets would keep Philly in the playoff hunt, boosting the morale of the young team, which is in a rebuild at the moment.
The Jets are back home following a win in Houston of the equally poor AFC rivals, Houston Texans. Zach Wilson and the boys are wondering whether they can win back-to-back events.

Eagles vs Jets Vegas Odds
Hurts to Bounce Back
Jalen Hurts had a pretty nasty afternoon against the Giants last weekend. The sophomore rookie threw for only 129 yards and three picks, not having the slightest chance of making an impact on the field. He did rush for 77 yards on 8 carries, but still, that wasn’t enough to get past the Giants.
The positive thing in the Eagles’ performance was the running game, as they racked up 208 yards, with one TD, provided by Boston Scott. Philly’s rusher engaged 15 times for 64 yards, the same as Miles Sanders, who had nine snaps.
Hurts doesn’t have some notable passing targets in offense, but on the other side, we need to say that he isn’t doing enough to develop some. For the moment, he is a bit selfish in some situations and needs to change that for his unit to win tight games.
Wilson’s Winning Comeback
The young rookie came back in the lineup, and his Jets would defeat the Houston Texans on the road. We need to add that the hosts recently showed some signs of life and that most experts predicted their win here.
Wilson wasn’t really the key factor for the victory, as he threw only 145 yards, had one fumble, and was sacked four times for 36 negative yards. The youngster did have one rushing TD, which needs to be mentioned as well.
The defense did its part of the job, sacking Tyrod Talor five times and picking the Texans’ QB once. They would also have plenty of tackles for loss, showing a solid composure throughout the entire event.
Head to Head – Jets Without a Win
The Eagles have 11 wins in 11 games against the Jets so far. As you see, the franchise from New York didn’t win a single event against this rival.
NFL Picks Today
We need to back up the Eagles here because this contest has a massive significance for them. They are accustomed to the environment after meeting the Giants last Sunday, and it seems that the opponent is easier. We wouldn’t predict that the Eagles will cover the spread, but we like them to win, particularly due to its significance in the NFC playoffs race.
- Eagles win
