There will be a huge weekend of racing in the United Kingdom this coming weekend, as there will be two prestigious races being run. Saturday will see the lucrative Epsom Derby, while there will also be the Epsom Oaks on the same day. The Oaks is the third of the five Classics to take place in the UK, and it has been a mainstay on the racing calendar since the 1700s.
The Oaks is open to all three-year-old fillies, and the course will see the horses travel over one mile and four furlongs. Previous winners of the race include Enable, Forever Together and Anapurna. But, who will win the 2020 instalment?

Epsom Oaks Preview
This could be one of the most open fields in the Epsom Oaks for many years. However, the likely winner of the race will be one of the three horses at the top of the betting. There are very few question marks hanging over Love, Frankly Darling and Peaceful, as all three of the fillies have enjoyed excellent seasons to this point.
Love is the leading chance for the A P O’Brien yard, and she will be ridden by Ryan Moore. She will go off at shorter odds for this race as she has done in any of her previous three. Love seems to have overcome an inconsistent year as a two-year-old, where she was beaten by Quadrilateral, Alpine Star and Windracer. Love has only appeared once so far this season, with that coming at the beginning of June at Newmarket. She was in excellent form on that occasion, as she won by four and a half lengths from Cloak of Spirits. Love will have an excellent chance on that form.
Peaceful has been less exposed than Love, and could present a stern challenge. She is a stable mate of Love, but this will be the first time that they have both run in the same race. She has a solid record, as she has won two from four starts, with two of these wins coming in her last three. Peaceful was excellent last time out as she won by two lengths from Fancy Blue at Curragh. However, whether this step up could be too much remains to be seen.
Epsom Oaks Picks
The pick to win the race however, would be for Frankly Darling. She will be ridden by Frankie Detorri, who has won this race in two of the previous three years. The trainer of the horse John Gosden, has also trained the winning horse in the Oaks in two of the past three, and three of the past six. The team of Gosden-Detorri also won this race last year with Anapurna.
Frankly Darling has been in tremendous form this year, as she has won on both appearances. The most recent of those came at the Royal Ascot meeting, where she won the Ribblesdale Stakes by one and three-quarter lengths from Ennistymonn. This could be another famous afternoon for the leading race jockey in the world of flat racing.
Pick: Frankly Darling at +225 with Bet365.
