Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions Vegas Odds

My only concern here is the rumors coming out of Chicago which state Matt Nagy has completely lost the locker room and the players want him gone, but surely they won’t down-tools and make the fans suffer a Thanksgiving day loss to a rival with the worst record in football?

It sounds like Justin Fields is going to be out and Andy Dalton is in, but that shouldn’t really matter as they go up against a bad football team, regardless of Jared Goff’s potential return to health.

Chicago simply has to win this one, I doubt it’s going to be pretty, but they will get it done and cover.

Brian Handzel (7-4) Chicago -3.5 vs Detroit

Neither one of these teams are a true threat in the NFC North this season, but just as important to Thanksgiving as the turkey is, the Detroit Lions host a game on Thanksgiving Day. The Lions have not won a game this season and lost five straight games, dating back to October 17. Something has to give and one of these teams needs to come out victorious unless there is a tie, which would be the Lions’ second of the season.

The Bears are averaging 16.3 points per game on 315.3 total yards per game. The Lions are averaging very similar numbers, averaging just 16 points per game on 334.5 total yards of offense. On the defensive side of the ball, the Bears are giving up 24 points per game on 367.4 total yards. On the other hand, the Lions are giving up 27.3 points per game on 389.4 total yards per game. Look for a close game, with the Bears covering the spread by the smallest of margins.

Carl Taylor (3-7-1) Detroit +3.5 vs Chicago

The NFL Thanksgiving lock is the Detroit Lions +3.5 at home against the Chicago Bears. Andy Dalton is likely in at QB for Chicago which actually helps them, but this is a Bears defense in disarray. Detroit has backup Tim Boyle in at QB, but the Bears allowed Baltimore backup Tyler Huntley to go 72 yards in 5 plays in just over a minute to win Sunday’s game 16-13.

Beardlaws (@Beardlaws) (5-6) Dallas -7 vs Vegas

Las Vegas Raiders vs Dallas Cowboys Vegas Odds

From the departure of Jon Gruden to the Henry Ruggs situation, the Las Vegas Raiders have had to deal with a lot during the season, and it’s completely thrown them off after a promising start to the year.

In a way, you can’t really blame them and it appears the HC change has left them looking a bit soulless and predictable on the field, while Dallas needs to bounce back after a poor showing against KC.

The Cowboys should win this one fairly easily, and the 7 point spread isn’t enough to stop the pick here.
