Avalanche vs Wild Preview

No Regulation Losses for Colorado in 15 Games

The Colorado Avalanche won the previous five straight games. Before that, they lost to the Vegas Golden Knights in overtime, which was only the second time they didn’t get two points in a game since March 8.

Over the last couple of weeks, Colorado even managed to break some records. For instance, they beat the Arizona Coyotes 9-3 on the last day of March. That’s their highest-scoring game since November 2019 and only the second game since 2007 in which they scored nine goals.

Minnesota Loves Causing Trouble to Favorites

Colorado fans were on their toes in the last period in the previous clash with Minnesota. No surprise there, as the Wild seem to always cause problems to teams from the top of the table. In fact, they won against the Avalanche once this year. The score was 6-2, which was one of Colorado’s biggest defeats in years.

Furthermore, Minnesota managed to beat Vegas two times last week. As a result, they got to only four points behind the Golden Knights, who are in second place in the West. They’re also eight points behind the table leaders, Colorado, who have played one game more.

What this means is that Minnesota still has a chance to overtake the throne of the West Division, especially if they win tonight.

At the same time, if the Avalanche win, their chances of securing the divisional title will go up exponentially. The reason for this is that after the Avalanche vs. Wild game, their schedule gets much easier.

The Avalanche play two games against the Ducks, Kings, Blues, Sharks, and Coyotes. They’re also going to have to play against Vegas two times, but the game tonight is the last time they’re going to take on the Wild in the regular season.

Avalanche vs Wild Prediction

Who wins the Avalanche vs Wild game tonight:

This is going to be one very close game. Both teams will be super-motivated to get a win, which means we might see a lot of goals on both ends. The big question is, who will get two points? We think Colorado, as this team has been in an incredible form lately.
