Old Lady Looking to Continue Posting Good Results
Hertha smashed Hoffenheim in the last round, scoring three goals in the second half in the span of 15 minutes. It was a stunner for all the fans in Germany, as the majority saw the hosts in that one as the absolute favorites.
However, the hurricane between 58th and 74th minute saw the home team completely annihilated. It was the third straight match in which Hertha hasn’t lost, but still, their fans are not encouraged enough.
The reason for that is the fact that their favorites didn’t win five straight games at Olympiastadion. Three of them were losses and two draws, with Hertha not being able to net in three contests. In all of these games
the German Old Lady wasn’t competitive and played below the expected level.
Salomon Kalou will probably skip this match, as he still has some personal issues. Karim Rekik injured his knee and is definitely out.
Union’s Critical Moment
Last weekend, Union hosted Bayern Munich, and lost 0-2. The Iron Ones played solid, and we can’t say anything against their performance. Simply Bayern was better, but that is not something odd, as the German champs terrorize the entire continent this season.
What is problematic for Union are three straight losses.
They had two of them before the hiatus, both on the road against Leverkusen and Freiburg, and now this one. This team plays interesting and attractive football, but they don’t have the consistency needed for making some more notable results.
If they manage to survive this season above the red zone, and there are solid chances for something like that, the guests could gain experience and become a stable Bundesliga side.
Union will have quite a trouble with replacing their injured players. At the moment Laurenz Dehl is questionable, with Maurice Opfermann Arcones, Sheraldo Becker, Yunus Malli, Keven Schlotterbeck are all out.
The situation here is pretty much clear. Goals are expected, and that claim comes out of the statistical research we’ve executed. Likeways Union, Hertha, too, plays efficient matches with plenty of goals. Just one event in the previous ten in which they participated didn’t end with three hits in total. We strongly believe that such a streak will continue in this clash also, especially because of the above-mentioned Union’s style of play. Moneyline on our pick is at -110.
