Honda Classic 2020 – Betting Odds, Picks, and Date

The PGA Tour season never rests and this is good news for all of you who enjoy watching the best of your favorite players and game all year-round. Tradition is equally important and The Honda Classic 2020 is reuniting some of the best golfers for yet another installment of action-packed golfing.

In its 43-year-long history, The Honda Classic has seen a number of titans clash over the course, including Keith Mitchell, Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, Adam Scott and others. Yet, none has managed to win the title twice in the past 23 years, other than Pádraig Harrington, an Irish golfer who took some ten years to repeat the feat between 2005 and 2015

The event is kicking off on February 27 and will run through March 1, 2020 offering some of the hottest golf action for the end of the month. Not only that, but there is a $7,000,000 purse you would certainly want to claim yourself.

Date and Course

  • Date: February 27
  • Course: PGA National Resort & Spa – The Champion Course

The Honda Classic 2020 will tee off on Thursday, February 27 at the PGA National Resort & Spa – The Champion Course and run through March 1, 2020. The first round begins at 7:00 AM, making for an early start as is the custom for most major golf events in the south.

Brood Koepka to Participate in the Event

Last year was particularly good for Koepka. He finished second sharing a runners-up spot with Rickie Fowler and losing to Keith Mitchell who managed to seal the title. Yet, the 29-year-old golfer is back for another swing at the National Resort & Spa.

He has a decent track record at Majors that is for sure. After all, four out of his seven PGA Tour victories have to do with securing a Major. Koepka has had a strong year, as we noted, securing the PGA Championship and coming this close to also winning The Masters.

He had great showings at both the U.S. Open and British Open. His success continues into 2020 and the question remains whether it would extend to The Honda Classic 2020. As Koepka likes to say “I am just a regular guy who happens to be very good at golf, that’s it.” We just want to know – how good?

Can Rickie Fowler Seal Another Title?

Apart from the top names coming back to the event, there is also the atmosphere to consider. Some 200,000 golf aficionados will flock to Florida and the course to watch the event live.

But one thing you ought to watch out for is the name of a golfer – Rickie Fowler, the man who claimed the title in 2017 and finished second in 2019, who confirmed his participation. Definitely a decent showing in the space of just a few years, and specifically in relation to this event.

So far, Fowler has played in four Honda Classics with the upcoming one being his fifth appearance. Worst case scenario, Rickie might settle for top-10 finish, after already pulling two separate one this year.

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods still hasn’t confirmed whether he would play.
