Game Preview and Team News
In his first game in charge of the USMNT, the acting head coach Anthony Hudson did not do great – his team lost to Serbia 2-1. As a reminder, the coach who led Team US at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Gregg Berhalter, stepped away following the investigation regarding a 1991 domestic violence incident.
Hudson’s managerial debut wasn’t a complete failure. The USMNT did lose, but it was a friendly match. The game was supposed to let the coach experiment with new tactics and give some youngsters a chance to prove their worth.
Eight Americans recorded their first international cap on Wednesday, and a couple of USMNT debutants really impressed on the pitch. Brandon Vazquez is definitely one of those. The FC Cincinnati forward was the USMNT’s best player that evening, scoring a lovely goal in the first half.
There are another five players on the US roster who are yet to make an international debut. We feel as if they’re likely to get their chance against Colombia. Speaking of which, Los Cafeteros too have plenty of debutants in the squad.

In fact, Colombia’s coach Néstor Lorenzo has brought 12 players with him who’ve never played a single game for the national team. The other eight who have come to America also don’t have too much experience in the yellow jersey – 31-year-old defender Frank Fabra is their most experienced player with 26 international caps.
Still, the most famous player on Colombia’s roster is Cristian Arango. Although he’s recorded only one international cap, the 27-year-old forward seems to have a bright future in international soccer. The guy is coming off a brilliant season with Los Angeles FC, in which he was their top scorer.
USMNT vs Colombia Predictions: Prop Bet
One of the players in the USMNT’s winter camp who haven’t played a single international match is Emmanuel Sabbi. We think he’s going to get his chance on Saturday against Colombia. And we think he’s going to take it!
The 25-year-old is under contract at Odense Boldklub (OB), one of the biggest soccer clubs in Denmark. He’s been their key player for three seasons already, employed in the role of a playmaker. He’s skilled with the ball and is no stranger to scoring. We wouldn’t be surprised if we saw him put one away against Colombia.

USMNT vs Colombia Prediction
Both teams are great in the offense, there’s no doubt about that. When it comes to defense, it’s a different story, at least in the case of Colombia. Their defensive line looks leaky, and we think the Americans are going to exploit that fact.
As a result, we should see plenty of goals on Saturday evening, with Team US being the one to score more.
