- Iowa surged past Louisville, winning by a score of 97-83.
- South Carolina defeated Maryland, 86-75, remaining unbeaten.
- This will be the very first matchup between these two teams in their program histories.
Iowa (30-6) and South Carolina (36-0) face off in a stellar Final Four matchup. The Hawkeyes, led by Caitlin Clark, will be the biggest threat of the tournament so far to the dominant and unfazed Gamecocks.

Game Preview
Iowa scored 97 points as they stormed past Louisville, en route to the Final Four. The Hawkeyes are deep across the board, but their biggest impact-maker is star G Caitlin Clark, who has averaged 30 ppg on 51% shooting so far in the tournament. Clark had her best game of the tourney thus far against Louisville, posting a triple-double with 41 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds, as well as 3 steals.

South Carolina continued to handle their business in the Elite 8, winning their 4th straight tournament game by double-digits. They’re now 36-0 on the season as a whole, and won 31 of those games by 10 points or more. The Gamecocks are the defending champs, and the final unbeaten team, entering their Final Four game expected to win by double digits yet again. They’ll be very tough to stop.
Picks
If anyone has a chance to stop South Carolina this year, it’ll be Caitlin Clark and the Hawkeyes. They’ll need to get hot on offense and play similarly to how they did against Louisville to have a chance. With that being said, I wouldn’t feel confident betting on them to win. Unfortunately, the odds are so skewed that betting on South Carolina isn’t ideal either. I’d consider taking Iowa to cover this one.
