Game Preview

Cincinnati FC has been one of the stories of the season so far, as they have kicked off the new MLS campaign in solid form. They currently sit second in the Eastern Conference standings, but they have won three of their opening five matches. The team is the only club in the East yet to suffer a defeat, and they could move to the top of the standings this weekend.

Cincinnati has won two of their previous three matches. Their most recent success was a professional display on the road against Nashville, as they picked up a 1-0 win. Brandon Vazquez scored the winning goal in that match just three minutes into the second half.

Inter Miami comes into this fixture in extremely poor form, as they have suffered three straight defeats. Over that period, they have conceded six goals, and they have netted just two in response. Both of the goals that they have scored over that run were netted in a 3-2 home loss against Chicago last weekend.

That defeat has dropped Miami to ninth in the Eastern Conference standings, and they will desperately need a response to climb back up the standings this weekend. But, it is worth mentioning that they are yet to win on the road this term.

Something is amiss with Inter Miami at present, and we don’t like their chances of ending their winless run this weekend. Cincinnati has been in excellent form over the early weeks, and they have gone two without a loss against their rivals this weekend.
