How Will The MLS Is Back Tournament Work?
The tournament is operating slightly different from the usual MLS season, with the first three group games that teams play counting towards the regular season standings. However, the teams that are in the top two of each of the divisions will progress through to the next stage. Also, the best-placed third side will also progress.
From there, the teams will be whittled down in knockout stages. The first will be the round of 16, before that is followed by the quarterfinals, semi-finals and then the Championship match. The final will take place on the 11th August. You can see the groups for the East and West below.
|Group A (East)||Group B (West)||Group C (East)||Group D (West)||Group E (East)||Group F (West)|
|Orlando City||Seattle Sounders||Toronto FC||Real Salt Lake||Atlanta United||Los Angeles FC|
|Inter Miami CF||Vancouver Whitecaps||New England Revolution||Sporting Kansas City||FC Cincinnati||LA Galaxy|
|New York City FC||San Jose Earthquakes||Montreal Impact||Colorado Rapids||New York Red Bulls||Houston Dynamo|

Which Teams Should Gamblers Be Looking Out For?
It will be difficult to take much away from the previous games that have taken place in the league, as all teams only played twice before the season was halted. At that point, there were four teams that boasted a perfect start to the season. Sporting Kansas City were at the top of the standings after conceding just one goals and scoring seven in their opening two games. Minnesota United, Atlanta United and Colorado Rapids were also perfect in their opening two games.
Los Angeles FC will have been knocked back after it was revealed that Carlos Vela would not be taking part in the competition. Meanwhile, Seattle Sounders and Toronto FC are likely to improve as this competition progresses as they are experienced in the post-season competitions. However, it is still hard to look past Atlanta United, who will be looking for their first championship after being beaten in the Conference Finals last season.
