Game Preview
Orlando City conceded their first goal of the season in their 1-1 draw with D.C. United on Saturday. Leading 0-1 through Duncan McGuire’s 53rd-minute opener, Orlando could do nothing about the 80th-minute equalizer from Chris Durkin. Durkin received the ball on the edge of the 18-yard box, took a touch to shift it onto his left foot, and hit a stunning drive into the corner of the net. It was a deserved goal for D.C. and Orlando cannot complain about missing out on maximum points.

Charlotte was put to the sword by Atlanta last weekend, the game ending 0-3 and all three goals coming in a lively first half. This is the third time in their short history that Charlotte has lost three games in a row. Both teams, and a crowd of over 31,500 people, paid tribute to the late Anton Walkes prior to kickoff. Walkes spent three seasons with Atlanta before joining Charlotte in the 2021 expansion draft, the 25-year-old died in a south Florida accident in January.
Prediction
Orlando City will have too much about them for a struggling Charlotte team to handle. The only question will be how many goals Orlando put past their opponents here.
