The Seattle Sounders won the MLS Cup twice within the last seven years. However, most of the players from their title-winning seasons are no longer in the club. This explains why the Sounders finished four places below the playoff zone last season.
In 2023, they’re 2-0-1, with both of their wins happening at Lumen Field. They’re good at home, but are they good enough to beat the reigning champions?

We don’t think so, as LAFC have started the season in top gear. They’ve played two MLS games so far because their first-round game was canceled for bad weather.
They’re 2-0-0 in the MLS, beating the Portland Timbers 3-2 and New England Revolution 4-0. In between those two games, they also defeated Alajuelense 3-0 in the CONCACAF Champions League.
Prediction
Bookies think Seattle will win on Saturday, but we beg to differ. LAFC’s players are way better than those playing for the Sounders, which is why we can definitely see them take all three points from their trip to the Northwest.
