This weekend’s MLS action ends on Sunday, June 19 with four matchups. The first game on the schedule is an Eastern Conference clash between Atlanta United and Inter Miami. Next comes a duel between the reigning MLS Cup champ New York City FC and Colorado Rapids, as well as the New England Revolution vs Minnesota United game. To wrap up the round, Nashville SC face-off with Sporting Kansas City.

As you can see, there’s plenty of action this Sunday for those into MLS betting. If you need help with picking the right bets, this post is for you. We’re now going to analyze each of the four Sunday matchups, sharing our top betting picks along the way.

Atlanta United vs Inter Miami Vegas Odds

According to Transfermarkt data, Atlanta United is the most valuable franchise in the MLS. The total market value of its roster is somewhere in the ballpark of $80 million, which is about four times more than the value of Inter Miami.

Knowing this, one must wonder why the team from Georgia is sitting in the #11 position in the East, two spots below its Florida rival. The reason is that some of the key Atlanta United players have been struggling with injuries this season.

In fact, this team will probably miss five players in Sunday’s game, including their first-choice goalkeeper Brad Guzan. On top of that, Atlanta United will also be without one of their designated players – midfielder Thiago Almada – who is suspended.

Despite all the absences, Vegas odds are still going in Atlanta’s favor. In fact, priced at -200, this team is expected to have a field day on Sunday. That’s what the bookies think, but we have to disagree. Although we don’t believe Inter Miami players have what it takes to win at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, they could take a point from their trip to Georgia.

Expert Pick:

New York City FC vs Colorado Rapids Vegas Odds

The goal of New York City FC for the 2022 season is to retain the MLS Cup. They won it last season, for the first time in the franchise’s history, and they now wish to keep it in their possession for as long as possible. Judging by what we’ve seen from them so far, they have every right to feel good about their chances.

This team is sitting in the #1 position in the Eastern Conference with 26 points collected after 13 games. Considering that most other teams have played at least a game more, New York City FC has a chance to cement their spot at the top of the table.

With the Vegas odds of -222, they’re seen as major favorites on Sunday. If they win, it’s going to be their fifth straight win in the MLS – the fact that shows how good their recent form has been.

Expert Pick:

New England Revolution vs Minnesota United Vegas Odds

Both teams have playoff ambitions this season. New York Revolution is currently in the playoff zone in the Eastern Conference, but there are several other teams that could leapfrog them if they stop playing well.

When it comes to Minnesota United, this team is in the #9 position in the West, but with just one point fewer than the closest team from the postseason zone.

Knowing all this, one can only expect an entertaining duel in Foxborough this Sunday. The big question is who’s going to win? We don’t think anyone will. Instead, we think that the most likely outcome is a draw.

Expert Pick:

Nashville SC vs Sporting Kansas City Vegas Odds

In their first MLS season, Nashville SC got themselves to the quarterfinal of the MLS Cup Playoffs. They want to do the same or better in 2022. So far, it seems things are going according to plan for these guys. Nashville SC is in the #6 spot in the West with 23 points.

Their recent form has been pretty decent with two wins and two draws in the previous four MLS rounds. Plus, top MLS sportsbooks expect them to add another win to the tally this Sunday.

It’s not just because they’ve been playing good soccer lately, but also because their next opponent is one of the worst teams in the league. Actually, with just 13 points after 16 matches, Sporting Kansas City are the worst team in the West.
