With an exciting weekend NBA slate coming up, we’ll preview a few games that you can look to profit off of with sure thing bets!
Blazers (41-26) @ Pelicans (30-40)
Despite being road warriors in this contest, Portland should be able to walk away with another win against a Pelicans team that is not quite playing the right guys right now. Dame and CJ have both been playing some very impressive basketball of late and will be hoping to keep that going for Portland. Their bench is now very deep with the additions of Rodney Hood and Enes Kanter, and a little bit of everything should help them to win #42.
New Orleans, on the other hand, is not exactly trying to win. Frank Jackson is playing 35 minutes a night, while they are allowing a lot of minutes for Cheick Diallo, with Anthony Davis only playing parts of three quarters. He is only in there because the team is forced by the NBA to make sure that he’s out there. It has produced the results you expected.
Prediction: Easy W for Portland.
Hawks (23-45) @ Celtics (41-27)
Atlanta started the year as expected: with a whole lot of losing. They have since turned it around and been playing like a group who wants to win. The way that they finish this season should give them a serious boost going into next year, and we’ll likely see a number of vets that are suddenly interested in coming to Atlanta to serve as mentors. They will have multiple Vince Carter’s.
Boston, on the other hand, is currently sitting at 41-27, and have had some great wins this year. They have gone up and down, but this should be a day in which they are able to right the ship. This is a game they will have to play well in on their home floor, or they will surely be hearing it from the fans from the outset. Kyrie will erupt against Trae Young.
Prediction: Sorry Atlanta… Boston by 15
Lakers (31-36) @ Knicks (13-55)
Despite being extremely short-handed and now being without Lonzo and Ingram for the season, the Lakers are playing for pride, and to try and finish the season with a winning record. As long as LeBron is suiting up, they will be in it and competing every single night. This is a team that still has some specialists, with Rondo as a playmaker, McGee making plays at the rim, and Reggie Bullock as a three-point shooter.
The Knicks are not winning much, their little winning streak from late February is all gone, and it will be a long time before we see them get the job done. They will likely prefer to take this loss and make sure they keep a bottom-three record in the league. They have some talented pieces, but none of that will matter today.
Prediction: LBJ lifts LA to a win.
