Another exciting game is taking place in Denver, where Nikola Jokic will try to score 20+ for the Nuggets for the first time in March. Over in Los Angeles, Paul George and the Clippers are set for another high-scoring game.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat are the two best defenses in the NBA, conceding 106.6 and 109.1 points per game, respectively. The difference, however, is that the boys from Cleveland are also good in the offense; those from Miami are not. In fact, the Miami Heat is the team with the worst scoring average in the NBA – 108.5 PPG.
But in their most recent game, Miami’s players scored 130 points. Exactly 20% of those (26 points) were scored by Jimmy Butler, the Heat’s scoring leader in the 2022-23 season. His season average is 21.9 PPG, and we think he can score over that number tonight.

The two-time MVP Nikola Jokic is favored to win his third straight MVP award this year. The No. 1 reason for that is that he’s been recording triple-doubles throughout the season. He already has 25 of them in 2022-23, but what’s interesting is that he hasn’t been scoring a lot. Especially not over the last couple of weeks.

Actually, Jokic hasn’t scored 20+ points since February. In his most recent outing, he recorded just 17 points. That just isn’t good enough for the reigning MVP, and we think he’s gonna do much better tonight.

On Sunday evening, the Clippers put an end to their horrible five-game losing streak. They defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 135-129. The game saw Paul George score 42 points – his highest number since the start of 2023.
If the Clippers are going to keep the momentum going, George will have to do well again. By “well” we think that he’s going to score 24 or more points tonight.
