The Furman Paladins, yes, the Furman Paladins are in the Round of 32. Furman scored 41 points in the second half and they looked done with seconds left.
Then, madness happened. Virginia guard Kihei Clark was trapped, threw a desperation pass, and from there, the rest is history.
JP Pegues is the new hero for Furman, and he hit the game-winning three in an unreal finish.
Furman hung around all game long, and this is another early loss for Virginia. The Paladins have a good shot at making the Sweet 16, although San Diego State is a tough team.

The Aztecs had a tricky first-round matchup with the College of Charleston, but Brian Dutcher finally got his first win as head coach. San Diego State won, 63-57, and Matt Bradley led the way with 17 points and 7 rebounds.
The Aztecs’ defense was suffocating all game long, and when it looked like Charleston was going to climb back in, Micah Parrish hit a dagger three that proved to seal the deal.
The Aztecs are trying to get back to the Sweet 16, and this is a terrific opportunity.
