Even though there are approximately two months left until the 2021 college football season kicks-off, the betting season is officially underway. Wednesday afternoon online sportsbook was the first to release college football Week 1 spreads.

There is no shortage of must-bet games on the Week 1 schedule, including a couple of match-ups that could sculpt the chase for the College Football Playoff Championship.

Georgia Bulldogs at Clemson Tigers

The biggest game on the docket features a showdown between two teams expected to be ranked in the Top-5, as the Georgia Bulldogs meet the Clemson Tigers on a neutral field in Charlotte, North Carolina. Clemson opens a 3.5-point favorite with their new quarterback – D.J. Uiagalelei – leading the charge.

Alabama Crimson Tide at Miami (FL) Hurricanes

Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide march to a second straight national title and seventh in the last 13 years starts against the Miami (FL) Hurricanes. The Tide will most likely be the No. 1 ranked team in the land once the major polls are released; while the Canes will be ranked in the Top-25. Despite two ranked teams going head-to-head, the oddsmakers are not expecting a close game – Bama is a lofty 18-point favorite.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Florida State Seminoles

The game that will mostly get the most action features the Notre Dame Fighting Irish against the Florida State Seminoles. As a stand-alone Sunday night game on national television (ABC), every Week 1 football bettor will either be chasing their losses or pressing their profits by the time the refs blow the opening whistle.
