Game Preview

Nets Defense in the Mix

We are not sure if we’ve mentioned that enough, the Nets have one of the best defenses in the league when it comes to decreasing the rival’s shooting percentages. The overall FG of the opponent is 42.7%, the second-best, the three-point shooting is 31.1% also the second-best, and effective shooting is 48.9%, the second-best.

Everyone is watching Durant and Harden, thinking about their offensive performances, but in fact, the defense has been guiding the Nets in this first part of the campaign. Imagine this unit winning the NBA title like this. It would be unreal.

Steve Nash’s crew has three wins in a row. They would defeat the Cavaliers, then the Magic before going to Ohio and adding one more triumph over the Cavaliers, 117-112. KD had 27 points, LaMarcus Aldridge had a double-double off the bench, 21 buckets with 11 boards, while Patty Mills scored 17 points. James Harden had 14 points and assists each.

Cs Looking Much Better

The Boston Celtics are looking much better than before. They have three victories in a row, four in the past five contests, which is a significant improvement. The rivals might not be as tough, but every win matters. At first, the Cs defeated the LA Lakers, then the OKC Thunder, and eventually the Houston Rockets, 108-90.

Jayson Tatum is back in the saddle and has four consecutive events with 30 or more points. The fantastic forward is currently the 8th scorer in the league with 25.7 points while also adding 8.4 boards.

Jaylen Brown came back following his injury, scoring 19 points against the Rockets. Brown played only 23 minutes, and during that time, he had three boards. Dennis Schroder continues his quest for the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award, dropping 18 buckets off the bench in this contest.

Head to Head – Nets Have Three in a Row

The Brooklyn Nets won all three games last year, all of them without some particular problems. The contest in Boston saw the guests smashing the Cs, 123-95.

NBA Picks Today

This one should be fun to watch, but on the other hand, very tough to pick. We believe that the Nets will impose their own tempo of play, meaning that the efficiency might be slightly higher than expected. We’ll see a lot of iso game here, and given the offensive quality on both sides, Over is expected. In five of the previous six head-to-head matchups between these two sides, we saw more points than the proposed line for the totals.
