Sunday Night Football brings the clash between the New Orleans Saints and the Green Bay Packers.
New Orleans Saints vs. Green Bay Packers Preview
It is one of the most anticipated games of the season, with the Packs coming to the town where they haven’t won since 1995. Plus, the Saints beat them in the 2017 at Lambeau. Rodgers and his crew are 2-0, while on the other side, the Saints experienced a defeat on the previous Monday Night Football in Las Vegas. What is troubling is the situation with Michael Thomas, who skipped that match and is still questionable for this one. The odds will depend very much on his status.

No Thomas Means Problems
Michael Thomas wasn’t present in Las Vegas, and the Saints lost against the Raiders. Drew Brees didn’t have his favorite target, who is, by the way, the No.1 WR in the league, and even though he threw for 312 yards, his attack was inefficient.
If it weren’t for Alvin Kamara, who generated 174 yards from the scrimmage and two TDs (one rushing and on through the air), things would be even worse. It appears that the 25-year old will be the primary weapon against the Packers too.
Pass-rush did a solid job, sacking Derek Carr three times, and forcing him to fumble twice, but the secondary wasn’t good, allowing three TDs through the air. Overall, they need to be better at stopping the Packs and Rodgers.
Packers Warming up the Machine
Many are still doubting in Packers, suggesting that they will be exposed sooner or later. And while the stories on that topic circle among the fans, Matt LaFleur’s guys continue to post wins.
The latest one against the Lions saw the Packs coming from a big deficit and routinely demolishing the divisional rivals, 42-21. Aaron Jones scored three TDs, having 236 yards from the scrimmage, and posting a career-high 168 on the ground. He had a 75-yarder that stunned the Lions. Meanwhile, on four catches, the Packs’ RB posted 68 yards.
Rodgers was 18-for-30 having 240 yards for two TDs, organizing his attack pretty well. Marquez Valdes-Scantling caught three passes for 64 yards, Lazard added 45 in the same number of receptions.
Head to Head Games
As we said, the Packers didn’t win for a long time in Louisiana. As for the last match at Lambeau, that was the year when Rodgers suffered an early injury and didn’t play.
If Thomas doesn’t play, and that is if, we would suggesting betting on under here because 52.5 points would be too much. Packs will try to run it, and occasionally throw the football to keep Brees off the field. Without Thomas, the former MVP has to relly on Kamara. which means more running. Therefore, under sounds logical in this case, but do bear in mind that this prediction is without Michael Thomas.
