Week 12 NFL action is here and we get you up to date with who’s in and who’s out this Sunday.
Reuben Foster arrested again
Reuben Foster has star talent.
He also seems to have an off the field temper that could end his career.
Foster was arrested at the team hotel in Tampa Bay on Saturday night and is currently sitting behind bars on suspicion of domestic violence.
This is the 2nd time this year he faces such charges. It has to be noted that the charges from earlier this year were dropped however the NFL had already suspended him this year.
We’ve seen repeat offenders in the NFL when it comes to domestic violence accusations. It wouldn’t be a shock if the 49ers end up cutting him despite his obvious talent.
Foster’s teammate Marquise Goodwin will miss the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because of a personal matter. Pierre Garcon will also be out Sunday.
Green Bay Packers are banged up
The Green Bay Packers go into Sunday’s game against the Vikings banged up on both sides of the ball.
Jimmy Graham will play through his broken thumb. He was expected to miss a few weeks with the injury but the Packers really can’t afford any more losses. He will play with some sort of soft cast but it will be a very difficult proposition going up against a tough Vikings defense with a broken hand.
Graham is also dealing with a knee injury although he says it isn’t that serious.
The Packers will have their hands full with a Minnesota Vikings team that is in a similar situation to them. Neither team can afford any more losses if they hope to make a push for a spot in the playoffs.
On the defensive side of the ball it appears that lineman Mike Daniels could miss the rest of the season. Daniels has been an anchor on that defensive line for years and his presence will be sorely missed in this game against a Vikings offensive line that really struggles in pass protection.
Outside linebacker Nick Perry will also miss the rest of the season for the Packers.
Around the rest of the NFL
Melvin Gordon was expected to sit out this week versus the Arizona Cardinals.
He is currently nursing hamstring and knee issues but apparently the Chargers coaching staff has seen enough to be convinced that he’s good to go for today.
Marcus Mariota has recovered enough from his neck injury and he will get the start on Sunday.
With a lingering issue to his throwing hand and now this problem with his neck, Mariota will not be 100% on Sunday but he is their best hope for success on offense.
Expect the formidable Houston Texans front seven to come after him with everything they have in this division matchup.
It seems that Tom Brady had banged up his knee last week and did not practice on Friday. He will start on Sunday and really hasn’t missed a game due to injury in almost ten years. Meanwhile his teammate Rob Gronkowski who has been dealing with injuries the entire season will also play on Sunday.
The Patriots are not the same without Gronk and he has had a good amount of time off to recover from his various ailments.
