NFL Predictions

The Bills got a much-needed bounce back win last week, defeating the Browns 31-23. They are now tied for 1st place with the Dolphins in the AFC East division, at 7-3. Buffalo still holds a league-leading point differential of +107, but has only posted a +2 point differential over their last 3 games. They’ll play at Ford Field once again on Thursday, looking to continue moving in the right direction.

Detroit dominated the Giants on the road on Sunday, winning 31-18. The Lions have now won 3 straight games, improving an abysmal record of 1-6 to a much better mark of 4-6. Detroit’s offense has been exceptional for most of the season, but their defensive improvements have been the key to their winning ways as of late. The Lions may finally be on the right track after years of losing.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Bills 27, Lions 20 (DET +10.0)

New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys

Schedule

  • When: Thursday, November 24, 2022, at 4:30 p.m ET
  • Where: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX
  • How to Watch: FOX

NFL Predictions

The Giants lost badly to the Lions on Sunday, falling to 7-3 on the season. New York’s 2nd-round pick in 2022, WR Wan’Dale Robinson was having a breakout game, with 9 catches for 100 yards, before tearing his ACL on the abysmal MetLife Stadium turf. Robinson is now out for the season, and the Giants continue to be the most banged-up team in the league. Winning is going to get a lot harder.

Dallas absolutely dominated the Vikings, winning 40-3, and improving to 7-3 on the season. The Cowboys were firing on all cylinders. On offense, they drove down the field with ease, scoring on each of their first 7 possessions. Their defense, on the other hand, shut down Minnesota’s offense, forcing them to punt 7 times. Dallas is starting to look dangerous, and could pummel the Giants here.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Cowboys 28, Giants 17 (DAL -9.5)

New England Patriots vs Minnesota Vikings

Schedule

  • When: Thursday, November 24, 2022, at 8:20 p.m ET
  • Where: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN
  • How to Watch: NBC

Vegas Odds

NFL Predictions

The Patriots completed their 14th consecutive victory against the Jets on Sunday, winning 10-3, and improving to 6-4 on the year. Both offenses looked awful, while both defenses thrived. Ultimately, New England was able to get the victory on a punt return TD. They’ll need to muster a significantly better offensive performance to have any shot of winning this week’s game in Minnesota.

Minnesota was absolutely embarrassed by the Cowboys on Sunday, losing 40-3 at home, in a historically bad performance. They only turned the ball over one time, on the opening drive, but punted 7 times. Dallas out-gained the Vikings in yardage, 458-183. Minnesota may be 8-2, but they are now in complete panic mode after a loss this bad. They absolutely need to get back on track this week.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Patriots 23, Vikings 16 (NE +1.0)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Cleveland Browns

Schedule

  • When: Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 1 p.m ET
  • Where: FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, OH
  • How to Watch: FOX

Vegas Odds

NFL Predictions

The Buccaneers were on bye last week, remaining 5-5 on the season. They watched the Falcons and Saints win during their time off, which resulted in their divisional lead dropping to just a half of a game. Tampa Bay needs their defense to keep shutting down opponents to have a chance at winning a horrific NFC South division this year. A win this week would mark 3 consecutive victories.

Cleveland lost to the Bills in a competitive 31-23 game on Sunday. It dropped them to 3-7 on the year, reducing their playoff chances to just 4%. The Browns desperately need a win at home this week, in the last game before Deshaun Watson is able to return from suspension. If they lose and fall to 3-8 here, their playoff chances will drop to roughly 1%. This is a must-win game for both teams.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Buccaneers 21, Browns 20 (CLE +3.5)

Cincinnati Bengals vs Tennessee Titans

Schedule

  • When: Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 1 p.m ET
  • Where: Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN
  • How to Watch: CBS

Vegas Odds

NFL Predictions

The Bengals got revenge against the Steelers, winning 37-30, and improving to 6-4 on the season. They currently sit one game behind the Ravens in the AFC North division. They’ll need to continue winning to keep up in a loaded AFC conference. Superstar WR JaMarr Chase, who has been sidelined with a hip injury since Week 7, has a shot at making it back to the lineup this week against Tennessee.

Tennessee toppled the Packers on Thursday night, winning 27-17. They improved to 7-3 on the season, having now won 7 of their last 8 games since starting the season 0-2. The Titans look well on their way to another AFC South title, but will need to prove themselves against much tougher opponents. A rematch of last season’s AFC divisional playoff round against Cincinnati is a good place to start.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Bengals 26, Titans 23 (CIN -2.0)

Houston Texans vs Miami Dolphins

Schedule

  • When: Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 1 p.m ET
  • Where: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL
  • How to Watch: CBS

Vegas Odds

NFL Predictions

The Texans lost 23-10 against the Commanders on Sunday. They’re now the only team in the NFL with 2 or fewer wins, and on pace to claim the #1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. QB Davis Mills continues to struggle, and may wind up losing his starting job before the season ends. Regardless of how the rest of the season plays out, Houston will almost certainly be selecting a QB in the draft.

Miami was on bye last week, remaining 7-3 on the season. During the bye, Miami watched the Bills win, erasing their half game-lead over the division. The entire AFC East division is over .500, so the Dolphins will need to take full advantage of this week’s game against the 1-8-1 Texans. Miami is 7-0 this season with QB Tua Tagovailoa starting, and should have no problem winning here.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Dolphins 31, Texans 16 (MIA -13.0)

Chicago Bears vs New York Jets

Schedule

  • When: Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 1 p.m ET
  • Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
  • How to Watch: FOX

Vegas Odds

NFL Predictions

Chicago came up short against the Falcons on Sunday, losing 27-24. It was the 3rd straight week that the Bears lost by 3 points or fewer. They’re now 1-7 in their last 8 games, but have actually been playing a lot better as of late. Some may see the Bears losing like they have been as the ideal scenario. QB Justin Fields has shown improvement, and their draft position continues to rise in 2023.

The Jets lost once again to the Patriots on Sunday, falling to 6-4 on the season, and last place in a brutal AFC East division. RB James Robinson was supposed to ease the loss of Breece Hall, but rushed 7 times for just 10 yards in the defeat. New York’s defense continues to improve and impress, but the offense has been awful. QB Zach Wilson’s lack of accountability is a cause for concern.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Jets 25, Bears 24 (CHI +3.0)

Atlanta Falcons vs Washington Commanders

Schedule

  • When: Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 1 p.m ET
  • Where: FedEx Field, Landover, MD
  • How to Watch: FOX

Vegas Odds

NFL Predictions

The Falcons defeated the Bears on Sunday, improving to 5-6 on the season. They now sit just a half game behind the Buccaneers for first place in the division, and are a win away from returning to .500 on the season. Unfortunately, 2nd-year TE Kyle Pitts is headed to the IR with an MCL injury. Atlanta’s offense could be in for a rough game this week, against a rapidly improving Commanders team.

Washington continued their scorching hot streak, defeating the Texans, 23-10, on the road. They improved to 6-5 on the season, raising their playoff chances back to an even 50%. The Commanders defense has continued to get better as the season progresses, and is finally due to get back star DE Chase Young, who missed much of the past two seasons recovering from a bad ACL injury.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Commanders 29, Falcons 20 (WAS -4.5)

Denver Broncos vs Carolina Panthers

Schedule

  • When: Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 1 p.m ET
  • Where: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC
  • How to Watch: FOX

Vegas Odds

NFL Predictions

The Broncos lost at home in OT on Sunday, against the Raiders. They dropped to 3-7 on the season, with their hopes of breaking the NFL’s second-longest playoff drought all but evaporated. Denver released RB Melvin Gordon following the game, and is stuck in a very bad position with Russell Wilson’s contract. Their 1st-round draft pick, currently projected to bet #5 is also owned by Seattle.

Carolina lost 13-3 against the Ravens on Sunday. It was a predictably bad offensive performance for the Panthers, with QB Baker Mayfield filling in for an injured PJ Walker. Mayfield threw two interceptions, posting a 54.6 passer rating on the day. RB D’Onta Foreman also struggled against Baltimore’s tough defense, averaging 2.2 ypc. They should be able to get back on track this week.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Panthers 23, Broncos 17 (CAR +2.0)

Baltimore Ravens vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Schedule

  • When: Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 1 p.m ET
  • Where: TIAA Bank Field, Jacksonville, FL
  • How to Watch: CBS

Vegas Odds

NFL Predictions

The Ravens dominated the Panthers on Sunday, improving to 7-3 on the season. Their defense, now with the addition of LB Roquan Smith, was exactly as tough as advertised. Smith finished with 7 tackles and a sack, wreaking havoc with fellow LB Patrick Queen all game long. Rookie S Kyle Hamilton had one of his best games of the year. CBs Marcus Peters and Marlon Humphrey thrived as well.

Jacksonville was on bye last week, remaining 3-7 on the season. Prior to the bye, the Jaguars lost a tough game against the Chiefs. Things won’t get any easier this week against Baltimore. 2nd-year QB Trevor Lawrence has had an up-and-down season thus far and will get a truly difficult test against the Ravens loaded defense. This could be a make or break game to see what Lawrence can do.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Ravens 27, Jaguars 16 (BAL -4.0)

Los Angeles Chargers vs Arizona Cardinals

Schedule

  • When: Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 4:05 p.m ET
  • Where: State Farm Stadium, Glendale, AZ
  • How to Watch: CBS

Vegas Odds

NFL Predictions

The Chargers came up short on Sunday night against the Chiefs, losing 30-27. It was the second time this season that the Chargers lost to Kansas City by just 3 points. Each of the last 6 matchups between those two teams has been decided by either 3 or 6 points. The schedule for Los Angeles doesn’t ease up anytime soon, with a road game against the Cardinals this week that they must win.

Arizona was dominated by the 49ers on Monday night, losing 38-10. The loss dropped the Cardinals to 4-7 on the season, further reducing their dwindling playoff hopes. Backup QB Colt McCoy struggled in the loss, going 24 for 34 for 218 yards, and an INT. Arizona will hope to get Kyler Murray back this week for a crucial matchup against the Chargers, which I think they’ll lose regardless.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Chargers 28, Cardinals 24 (LAC -3.0)

Las Vegas Raiders vs Seattle Seahawks

Schedule

  • When: Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 4:05 p.m ET
  • Where: Lumen Field, Seattle, WA
  • How to Watch: CBS

Vegas Odds

NFL Predictions

The Raiders defeated the Broncos, 22-16, on the road. The overtime victory on Sunday snapped a 3-game losing streak for Las Vegas, and vaulted them out of last place in the division. Unfortunately, a 3-7 record limits what the Raiders can do to salvage their season. Last year, they won 4 in a row to go from 6-7 to 10-7 and make the playoffs. It’ll be even tougher to win 7 games in a row this year.

Seattle was on bye last week, remaining 6-4 on the season. Their once confident divisional lead has evaporated, and the pressure is now on for the Seahawks to keep winning, and take full advantage of their surprising start with a playoff appearance. Their next three games are very winnable, followed by two much tougher matchups. A win this week against the Raiders would start them off right.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Seahawks 31, Raiders 23 (-SEA 3.5)

Los Angeles Rams vs Kansas City Chiefs

Schedule

  • When: Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 4:25 p.m ET
  • Where: Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO
  • How to Watch: FOX

Vegas Odds

NFL Predictions

The Rams came up short against the Saints on Sunday, losing 20-17, and dropping to 3-7 on the season. Having now lost 4 games in a row, and 6 of their last 7, Los Angeles’ hopes of returning to the playoffs and repeating a Super Bowl are essentially gone. They’re currently given just a 2% chance of making the postseason. Against the Chiefs, they’re the largest underdog of any team this week.

Kansas City took down the Chargers, 30-27, in a thrilling back-and-forth game on Sunday night. The win improved the Chiefs to 8-2 on the year, and 3-0 against the NFC West division. They’ve now won 4 straight games, and are starting to look like a potential Super Bowl favorite. Heading into the season, this week’s matchup was expected to be thrilling. Instead, it’s more likely to be a blowout.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Chiefs 27, Rams 17 (LAR +15.5)

New Orleans Saints vs San Francisco 49ers

Schedule

  • When: Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 4:25 p.m ET
  • Where: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, CA
  • How to Watch: FOX

Vegas Odds

NFL Predictions

The Saints defeated the Rams on Sunday, improving to 4-7 on the season. Their playoff hopes are far from over, sitting just 1.5 games out of 1st place in the NFC South. New Orleans owes their barely afloat record to their offense, which has bailed out a thoroughly disappointing defense as of late. Both the offense and the defense get a much more difficult matchup this week against the 49ers.

San Francisco dominated the Cardinals, in Arizona, on Monday. The 38-10 win propelled them to 6-4 on the year, now tied with the Seahawks for 1st place in the NFC West division. The 49ers have now won 3 games in a row, and are looking like a significantly improved team, compared to a team that struggled early in the season. The health of Deebo Samuel and George Kittle has been huge.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

49ers 28, Saints 20 (NO +9.5)

Green Bay Packers vs Philadelphia Eagles

Schedule

  • When: Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 8:20 p.m ET
  • Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
  • How to Watch: NBC

Vegas Odds

NFL Predictions

The Packers lost to the Titans on Thursday night, dropping to 4-7 on the season. After an encouraging win in Week 10 against Dallas, some people had Green Bay pegged as a team that could turn things around, and fast. That proved to not be the case in Week 11’s game against Tennessee, and the Packers playoff hopes have fallen to just 6%. The 9-1 Eagles post another difficult test this week.

Philadelphia defeated the Colts by a score of 17-16 on Sunday, maintaining their league-best record by improving to 9-1 on the year. The Eagles were stumped by the Colts defense for much of the game, entering the 4th quarter trailing 13-3. Fortunately, they were able to overcome the 10-point deficit in the 4th quarter, barely walking away with a victory. They should have less trouble this week.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Eagles 29, Packers 23 (GB +6.5)

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Indianapolis Colts

Schedule

  • When: Monday, November 28, 2022, at 8:15 p.m ET
  • Where: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN
  • How to Watch: ESPN

Vegas Odds

NFL Predictions

The Steelers came up short against the Bengals, losing 37-30, and dropping to 3-7 on the season. Pittsburgh has been more focused on building on positives for the future, than worrying about the playoffs, for a while now. While their offense took another step forward under rookie QB Kenny Pickett, the defense had their worst game of the year. They need to bounce back here against the Colts.

Indianapolis lost against the Eagles on Sunday, dropping to 4-6-1 on the season. After blowing a 10-point lead in the 4th quarter, the Colts saw their chances of making the playoffs drop to just 18%. They’ve had an up and down season thus far, but have improved lately, with the return of QB Matt Ryan and RB Jonathan Taylor. They struggle against strong defenses, which Pittsburgh usually has.

NFL Las Vegas Picks:

Steelers 17, Colts 16 (PIT+1.0)
