Game Preview
The Giants overcame the Vikings 31-24 in a thrilling encounter on Sunday. QB Daniel Jones led the Giants to their first playoff win in 11 years and made history along the way in this wildcard game upset. The 25-year-old became the first quarterback in NFL postseason history to throw for 300 yards, multiple touchdowns, and rush for 70+ yards. Whilst the Vikings did find ways to score the Giants’ defense managed to keep star receiver Justin Jefferson quiet, limiting this season’s WR1 to just 47 yards on 7 receptions. New York will need more of the same from their secondary when they come up against A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith on Saturday.

The Eagles are many people’s favorites for the Superbowl this season and it’s hard to argue against that prediction. Philadelphia went 14-3 through the regular season and two of those losses came with backup quarterback Gardner Minshew under center. With Jalen Hurts back fit and leading a talented group of players there is no reason why the Eagles can’t go all the way this year. Their defense caused Daniel Jones and the Giants a lot of problems in week 18 and more of the same can be expected on Saturday as this defensive line loves to get to the quarterback.
Giants vs Eagles Prediction
The Giants are in the middle of a classic New York fairytale at the moment, and the momentum that creates cannot be discounted, but it’s hard to see it continuing past this weekend. I backed Philadelphia to win the Superbowl before the season began and I have seen nothing to suggest they can’t take a step closer to achieving that on Saturday vs the Giants.
