NFL Preseason Week 4 Betting Odds

As we approach the final weekend of the (way too long) NFL preseason, we preview a few games and what you should be looking for. Read below.

Before we do so – another NFL article you may want to see:

Jets (-3.5) vs. Eagles

With Sam Darnold likely serving as the week 1 QB, the biggest thing to watch for the Jets is that he stays healthy. They have a lot of positions in their starting lineup set, and in a pressure-filled year for Todd Bowles, every game and opportunity counts.

The Eagles on the other hand, are preparing to announce who their week 1 QB will, so it will be interesting to track. Also watch the WR spot and who will get the ultimate opportunity to replace Alshon Jeffery for the first two weeks of the year.

Browns (-2.5) vs. Lions

Tyrod Taylor is likely to win the QB competition, but this game, should Baker Mayfield have a monster performance, could emerge as the week 1 starter. The QB battle is the most interesting Browns storyline, along with the integration of the recently returned Josh Gordon.

As far as the Lions go, the running back position is what we should be looking for, in addition to them having a new tight end. Let’s see if they can return to the postseason this year.

Redskins (+6.5) vs. Ravens

Another week of Adrian Peterson trying to learn the team’s offense, and the wide receivers trying to grow with one another, this is an important game for the ‘Skins. They have a lot of improving to do to try and compete within the NFC East this year, despite adding Alex Smith.

The Ravens on the other hand, will decide with this game if they want to keep RGIII or not, as he will go against his former team. It is also the last chance for WR Jordan Lasley to prove himself, as is the case with Lamar Jackson.

Jaguars (+1.5) vs. Buccaneers

The Jags are set with most of their starting positions, so the thing to watch with them is that everybody finishes the game healthy. The reigning AFC runners-up are looking to build on their strong season.

The Buccaneers will have a running back by committee next year with Ronald Jones and Peyton Barber, so we will see how they perform in the final tune-up. How will the backup QB battle behind Ryan Fitzpatrick go? That’s what this game is for.

Broncos (+3) vs. Cardinals

Chad Kelly will likely see most of the action in this practice game, while the Broncos young receivers continue to learn the offense. As usual, they have a great D, but a poor offense. We’ll see if they can be legit this year.

The Cardinals are continuing to get their rookies ready for the season, as Larry Fitzgerald prepares for his likely last NFL season. Mike Glennon will get most of the reps in this game, with Josh Rosen probably playing a few sets. Bradford will likely get the job.
