The Lions should be one of the more intriguing teams to watch next season, largely because they have a few players who could break out and lead them to a better record than expected.
It all starts with Jared Goff who will need to prove he can do it without Sean McVay, but the freedom could also be the making of him and his performances will go a long way to determining how good they can be.
D’Andre Swift is well thought of as a running back but they did lose some serious talent at WR, so it’s likely that Swift and T.J Hockenson will need to take on most of the work.
1st round pick Penei Sewell should be a stud at LT so that fills a major need, and at least there are some building blocks on place when it comes to the offense.
The defense has some serious power up front with Tre Flowers and Michael Brockers, but they might not have enough quality on the back-end and Jeff Okudah will be looking to take another step forward after his rookie year.
They may well end up finishing bottom of the division again, but there are some signs of hope:
