The Buffalo Bills had a week bye, and now await the LA Chargers.
LA Chargers vs Buffalo Bills Preview
Bills had two weeks to prepare for this match and to recharge their batteries. The AFC East leaders had a nasty defeat against the Cardinals before the pause, but it didn’t affect their overall position in the division. Meanwhile, the Chargers posted their third victory of the year against the New York Jets, with Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen in the main roles. If they had a little more luck, the Chargers would be in the playoff picture now, but unfortunately for their fans, that isn’t’ the case.

Bills Chasing the Home Court Advantage
Right now, the Bills are No.3 in the AFC, but several other teams have the same record as they do. Also, the Miami Dolphins are one win behind, but we truly doubt that Brian Flores’ side might jump over them and win the AFC East.
With 278.9 passing yards per game, Buffalo is among the best in the league in that category, and how wouldn’t it be when they have Josh Allen. The strong QB has 2671 thrown yards in 10 games, with 21 TDs and seven picks. Meanwhile, Stefon Diggs is among the top receivers, sitting second before the last week’s round, with 906 yards and four scores.
What the Bills need to improve is the defense, as they allow 26.5 points, just 0.7 fewer than they score. If Sean McDermott’s guys want to make noise in the NFL playoffs, defending needs to be at a much higher level.
Chargers Without Pressure
This is going to be the match in which the guests won’t feel any pressure. The Chargers are already out of the playoff hunt (even though they didn’t deserve to be), and are up against one of the best teams in the conference. So, for young Justin Herbert and the crew, this is a contest in which they just need to go out and play.
Things were different against the Jets, because LAC needed to beat the sorry guests, who are still without a victory. For the first time in his career, Herbert felt what it is like to carry a burden of a heavy favorite, and he passed the test. Although, beating the Jets is no big deal, to be honest with you.
Herbert was superb in Sunday’s game with 366 yards and three touchdowns, completing 37 of his 49 passing attempts. Keenan Allen caught 145 yards on 16 receptions for a TD, and he, too, had a superb performance.
Head to Head Games
The Bills lost the previous four against the Chargers, the last one being in 2018 at home, 31-20.
Chargers vs Bills Picks
In our opinion, Bills are a massive favorite, not only because they are a better team and have better individuals, but due to two weeks during which they had the opportunity to make a very thorough game plan for this contest. The spread is 5.5 points, and hosts will successfully cover that gap on their way to the eighth victory.
