NFL Week 5 Predictions, Odds, Schedule for Every Game

  • Buffalo Bills and Kansas City face off in AFC Championship game rematch
  • Rams and Seahawks could provide an excellent Thursday night game
  • Can anyone remain undefeated?

Los Angeles Rams (3-1) vs Seattle Seahawks (2-2)

Schedule

  • Where: Lumen Field, Seattle, WA
  • When: Thursday, October 7, 8:20PM ET
  • How to watch: FOX

Odds

The Rams came back to earth with an almighty bump as they were blown out against the Cardinals in Week 4, and the crux of their problems was simply failing to find a way to stop Kyler Murray on the ground or through the air.

Russell Wilson is the last thing they want to see on a short week after having those issues, but they should be able to get more going on offense against a desperately poor Seattle defense.

You rarely see the Rams going on a bad run of results, so expect them to bounce back and find a way to win this one.

Predicted Winner: L.A Rams

New York Jets (1-3) vs Atlanta Falcons (1-3)

Schedule

  • Where: Totenham Hotspur Stadium, London, England
  • When: Sunday, October 10, 9:30AM ET
  • How to watch: NFL Network

Odds

There’s every chance that these two could be contenders for a high pick going into the 2022 Draft, but whoever wins this game will suddenly have a little momentum and a reason to believe their season can turn around.

Atlanta lose their home advantage due to the game being played in London, while the Jets suddenly came to life on offense against Tennessee.

The Jets have the better defense by far and Zach Wilson is starting to show some confidence and productivity in the passing game, so the Jets could find themselves winning back-to-back games.

Predicted Winner: New York Jets

Denver Broncos (3-1) vs Pittsburgh Steelers (1-3)

Schedule

  • Where: Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA
  • When: Sunday, October 10, 1:00PM ET
  • How to watch: FOX

Odds

The Steelers have a defense which can keep games close, but they have no juice on offense and Denver have all the tools to close them down on that side of the ball.

The issue for the Broncos is injuries as Teddy Bridgewater appears to be in the concussion protocols and his status is unclear, but Denver should win this if he plays.

Predicted Winner: Denver Broncos

Detroit Lions (0-4) vs Minneosta Vikings (1-3)

Schedule

  • Where: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN
  • When: Sunday, October 10, 1:00PM ET
  • How to watch: FOX

Odds

Kirk Cousins couldn’t deal with the Cleveland pass rush in Week 4 as he struggled to put points on the board, so there has to be a frustration that they failed to win after limiting the Browns to only 14 points.

Detroit continue to show spirit but their season may well be defined by the slapstick turnover against Chicago, so the Vikings simply need to find a way to win this.

It’s possible that Dalvin Cook is banged up, but they should still have enough.

Predicted Winner: Minnesota Vikings

Green Bay Packers (3-1) vs Cincinnati Bengals (3-1)

Schedule

  • Where: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio
  • When: Sunday, October 10, 1:00PM ET
  • How to watch: FOX

Odds

The Bengals have life this season on both sides of the ball, while Joe Burrow’s connection with Ja’Marr Chase has come back after a worrying bout of drops in the preseason.

Aaron Rodgers and his Packers side had a worrying start to the year but they’ve bounced back on offense, while the defense may have a major issue after Jaire Alexander went down with a nasty-looking injury:

The Packers would usually be the obvious pick here, but we like the Bengals to get the job done at home.

Predicted Winner: Cincinnati Bengals

Miami Dolphins (1-3) vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1)

Schedule

  • Where: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida
  • When: Sunday, October 10, 1:00PM ET
  • How to watch: CBS

Odds

Tampa only just managed to squeak past New England in Week 4, and it’s likely that Tom Brady will have some issues against a former coach who knows how to trouble him.

The problem for Miami is the QB situation is still up in the air and Jacoby Brissett doesn’t have enough to go toe-to-toe with the Bucs in this, so the reigning champs should go 4-1.

Predicted Winner: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

New England Patriots (1-3) vs Houston Texans (1-3)

Schedule

  • Where: NRG Stadium, Houston, TX
  • When: Sunday, October 10, 1:00PM ET
  • How to watch: CBS

Odds

Two teams coming into this with a poor record, but the Pats have beaten themselves a couple of times this season and for once it’s the coaching that’s holding them back.

Tyrod Taylor would’ve given Houston a real chance in this one as his mobility would cause problems, but if the Patriots are willing to trust Mac Jones to throw it then they should get their season back on track here.

Predicted Winner: New England Patriots

New Orleans Saints (2-2) vs Washington Football Team (2-2)

Schedule

  • Where: FedEx Field, Landover, MD
  • When: Sunday, October 10, 1:00PM ET
  • How to watch: CBS

Odds

These two sides are so hard to call because of how maddeningly inconsistent they are. The Saints have blown out the Packers and the Patriots in impressive fashion, but they’ve also been torched by Daniel Jones and Sam Darnold so it’s hard to know which version is going to turn up.

On the other side this Washington D-Line has been talked up all summer, yet they’ve not really done much on the field to get excited about – but that could change if they can find a way to make Jameis Winston hold the ball.

This could be an absolute toss-up, so we’ll go with the home advantage.

Predicted Winner: Washington Football Team

Philadelphia Eagles (1-3) vs Carolina Panthers (3-1)

Schedule

  • Where: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC
  • When: Sunday, October 10, 1:00PM ET
  • How to watch: FOX

Odds

There was a fear that the Panthers would be found out after losing Christian McCaffrey, but much better teams will be ruined by Dak Prescott and the Cowboys this year.

The Eagles are hard to figure out as they did put up 30 on the Chiefs, but Kansas City have an awful defense and they also scored 42 in reply so the Philly D is just as bad.

Carolina may have a crisis of confidence after losing convincingly to Dallas, but they’ll get back on track here.

Predicted Winner: Carolina Panthers

Tennessee Titans (2-2) vs Jacksonville Jaguars (0-4)

Schedule

  • Where: TIAA Bank Field, Jacksonville, FL
  • When: Sunday, October 10, 1:00PM ET
  • How to watch: CBS

Odds

Jacksonville never recovered the momentum after failing to score on the final drive of the 1st half vs the Bengals in Week 4, and they do look like a team who are beaten as soon as they go behind.

Tennessee did lose to the Jets so alarm bells are ringing there, but they were also without Julio Jones and A.J Brown while the other WR’s couldn’t step up.

If either one of those two are back for this then that should be enough, but even if they aren’t, we still like the Titans to pile on the misery against a fragile Jags team.

Predicted Winner: Tennesee Titans

Chicago Bears (2-2) vs Las Vegas Raiders (3-1)

Schedule

  • Where: Allegiant Stadium, Paradise, Nevada
  • When: Sunday, October 10, 4:05PM ET
  • How to watch: CBS

Odds

The Raiders took their first L of the season in decisive fashion against the Chargers in Week 4, and there has to be concern about the injuries on defense and Derek Carr looking much more like his usual self when the game is on the line – turnovers and sacks at crucial moments.

This is a nice game for them to bounce back and eliminate any thoughts of back-to-back losses, with Chicago still struggling to get going on offense.

Predicted Winner: Las Vegas Raiders

Cleveland Browns (3-1) vs Los Angeles Chargers (3-1)

Schedule

  • Where: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
  • When: Sunday, October 10, 1:00PM ET
  • How to watch: CBS

Odds

Buffalo vs Kansas City is going to get the Game of the Week treatment, but this is a matchup of potential contenders if they can have a bit of luck along the way.

Justin Herbert and the Chargers have looked outstanding on offense and their unrelenting willingness to take risks by going for it on 4th down is impressive to see – particularly when they’ve seen so much success with it.

This will come down to controlling the lines of scrimmage as Cleveland need to get their running game going, and it’s too hard to pick against Herbert at this point.

Predicted Winner: Los Angeles Chargers

New York Giants (1-3) vs Dallas Cowboys (3-1)

Schedule

  • Where: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX
  • When: Sunday, October 10, 4:25PM ET
  • How to watch: FOX

Odds

Dallas are starting to look like the real deal this season, especially on offense where they have too many weapons to deal with, and Dak looks like the injury hasn’t affected him at all.

On defense, they may not be a lock-down team, but they keep forcing turnovers at big moments and that’s enough when the offense is so prolific.

The Giants tend to keep games close but they kept finding remarkable ways to win, so does getting that monkey off their back help them win this one too? No.

Predicted Winner: Dallas Cowboys

San Francisco 49ers (2-2) vs Arizona Cardinals (4-0)

Schedule

  • Where: State Farm Stadium, Glendale, Arizon
  • When: Sunday, October 10, 4:25PM ET
  • How to watch: FOX

Odds

The 49ers have a big issue at QB, mainly where Jimmy G is injured and doesn’t appear to have the full confidence of the coach, while Trey Lance doesn’t appear to be ready at all to cause consistent problems in the passing game.

That’s not the case in Arizona as they continue to terrify teams on offense and the defense started to impress against the Rams, so they should go 5-0 after this one.

Predicted Winner: Arizona Cardinals

Buffalo Bills (3-1) vs Kansas City Chiefs (2-2)

Schedule

  • Where: GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO
  • When: Sunday, October 10, 8:20PM ET
  • How to watch: NBC

Odds

It appears that Kansas City are just going to be involved in a shootout every week now as the defense is incapable of putting a solid 60 minutes together, while Buffalo will want to avenge their AFC Championship Game loss last season.

They also look well placed to do that as the Chiefs D will have too many problems stopping this Buffalo offense, and they could really pile on the concern for Andy Reid’s side with a victory here.

Predicted Winner: Buffalo Bills

Indianapolis Colts (1-3) vs Baltimore Ravens (3-1)

Schedule

  • Where: M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD
  • When: Monday, October 11, 8:15PM
  • How to watch: ESPN

Odds

Baltimore have so many injuries to deal with, but as long as Lamar Jackson is fit and playing well then they’ll win the majority of their games this year.

Indianapolis finally managed to get a victory in Week 4 as Carson Wentz looked more comfortable in the system, but they don’t have enough to go to Baltimore and get the W

Predicted Winner: Baltimore Ravens
