Team News

The Boston Bruins are enjoying a memorable season, and they have already clinched the Atlantic Division, and their spot in the playoffs. They haven’t let up on the pressure in recent weeks, as they have recorded victories in each of their previous five games.

Boston has scored more goals than any other team, and have also allowed the fewest goals in the conference. They were at their brilliant best in their previous game, as they claimed a straightforward 4-2 home win over the Montreal Canadiens.

The Carolina Hurricanes booked their spot in the playoffs in midweek, despite falling to a defeat against the New York Rangers. That was their fourth defeat in their last ten games, but they have still claimed five wins over that period.

The Hurricanes home form has been their strength throughout the season, as they have gone 24-9-2. Only the Bruins, Maple Leafs, and Lightning can boast better records in front of their home fans. However, they will be looking to quickly avenge their recent home loss against the Rangers.

There was tension around PNC Arena in midweek as the Hurricanes lost to the Rangers. However, we could see them getting back to winning ways against the Bruins now that the pressure is off this weekend.
