- Competitive betting markets for outright division winners have been open since the beginning of the season
- Vegas Golden Knights are the current favorites to win the Stanley Cup in 2022
The NHL season is at a crucial moment, as teams prepare for their festive fixtures. The betting markets for the division winners have been open since the start of the season, but there has been significant movement at the top of the markets since the start of the campaign.
Atlantic Division Vegas Odds
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Tampa Bay Lightning | +140 |
Toronto Maple Leafs | +175 |
Florida Panthers | +225 |
Boston Bruins | +1700 |
Detroit Red Wings | +8000 |
Buffalo Sabres | +50000 |
Ottawa Senators | +50000 |
Montreal Canadiens | +75000 |
The Tampa Bay Lightning remain at the top of the betting for the Atlantic Division this season. The two-time defending champions currently sit top of the standings, and have shortened in price since the start of the campaign, as they were originally a +150 chance.
However, many of the sides below them in the betting have also shortened, as the Toronto Maple Leafs were previously a +300 chance, but are now available at +175. The Florida Panthers have also been a significant mover, as they are now into third favorites at +225. Originally they were a +525 chance. Boston Bruins have drifted in the market to +1700 after starting the season at odds of +300.
Central Division Vegas Odds
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Colorado Avalanche | -175 |
Minnesota Wild | +340 |
St. Louis Blues | +500 |
Nashville Predators | +1000 |
Dallas Stars | +2800 |
Winnipeg Jets | +3000 |
Chicago Blackhawks | +40000 |
Arizona Coyotes | +400000 |
There has been little movement in the odds for the Central Division this season, as the Colorado Avalanche remain the favorites. The Avalanche were also the pre-season favorites to win the Stanley Cup this season. Minnesota Wild have also shortened in the betting, as they are now a +340 chance. At the start of the season, they were at a slightly bigger price of +650.
The St Louis Blues have been slashed in price since the start of the season, as they are now at odds of +500. Before the season had started they were an outside chance of +1400 to win the Central Division this season. However, we still believe that the Avalanche are the team to beat in the division.
Metropolitan Division Vegas Odds
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Carolina Hurricanes | +150 |
Washington Capitals | +225 |
New York Rangers | +350 |
Pittsburgh Penguins | +375 |
Columbus Blue Jackets | +7500 |
Philadelphia Flyers | +8000 |
New York Islanders | +8000 |
New Jersey Devils | +10000 |
Carolina Hurricanes remain the favorites in the betting for the Metropolitan Division. The Hurricanes were originally priced up at +375 at the start of the season, but are now a +150 chance. Carolina are currently top of the division but have picked up the same number of points as the Capitals, who are a +225 chance.
The Capitals were as high as +525 at the start of the season. It would also be hard to completely rule out the New York Rangers at present, as they are at +350. The Rangers have won 19 of their 30 games so far this season, and are just one point behind the Hurricanes.
Pacific Division Vegas Odds
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Vegas Golden Knights | +105 |
Calgary Flames | +280 |
Edmonton Oilers | +320 |
Anaheim Ducks | +500 |
LA Kings | +3300 |
San Jose Sharks | +6000 |
Vancouver Canucks | +6000 |
Seattle Kraken | +30000 |
The Vegas Golden Knights are currently favorites to win the Stanley Cup in 2022. Vegas have drifted slightly in odds to win the Pacific division though, as they were -170 at the start of the campaign. However, they are still the clear market leader at present. The Anaheim Ducks have been the big movers in the betting, as they were a +12500 chance at the start of the season, and are now into +500.
Seattle Kraken have gone in the opposite direction, as they were priced at +750 before the season started. However, their struggles this season has seen the NHL’s newest franchise drift to outsiders in the betting, as they are now at odds of +30000.
