The USA men’s basketball team suffered an embarrassing loss in their Olympic opener Sunday. Despite closing 12.5-point and -700 money-line favorites, Kevin Durant and crew were on the wrong side of the 83-76 final score to an Evan Fournier lead France squad.
With the loss, USA is now facing two must-win games as they take on Iran and the Czech Republic in their final two pool games. Wednesday’s Iran game should be a lay-up for USA as they are laying 41.5-points to an Iran team that lost by six (84-78) in their opener to the Czech Republic.
