Premier League: Best Bets Today (May 19)

  • There are three Premier League games on the program today
  • Everton and Burnley need points to battle relegation
  • Check out our EPL picks for all three games

Three Premier Leagues are on the program today, each of which is super-important for the teams involved. Although these games will not decide the title winner, they can make some big changes in the EPL standings.

For example, if Everton wins, they will secure a stay in the Prem for another season. It’s a similar story when it comes to Burnley, who would increase their chances of staying up by not losing to Aston Villa.

Finally, Chelsea also has a chance to get their job done three days before the final round of the Premier League. If they beat Leicester, no one will be able to take third from them.

Knowing that there’s so much at state for the six teams going onto the pitch today, fun is guaranteed for sports fans. The same goes for sports bettors, who stand a chance to win big money today. If you belong to this category, we’re now going to help you come up with the best EPL bets for today’s games.

Whatever happens in the remainder of the season, Aston Villa cannot drop lower than 14th position in the EPL standings. In the best-case scenario, Steven Gerard’s boys would get to ninth place. Of course, that’s way easier said than done, especially knowing that the Villans have to play Manchester City in the final round.

Today’s game looks much easier, at least at first glance. Still, beating motivated Burnley isn’t going to be easy. And this team will be super-motivated to win, or at least, not lose at Villa Park.

The thing is that Burnley is in 18th position at the moment but they have a good chance of leapfrogging Leeds and getting to the safe zone. They’re just one point behind Leeds, with a much better score difference. What this means is that if the two end the season on level points, Burnley will finish higher.

The only game Leeds has to play before the end of the season is the one against Brentford on Sunday. Burnley, on the other hand, has two more games to play. On Sunday, they play Newcastle, while today, their opponent is Aston Villa. Getting at least one point today would significantly boost their chances of staying up.

Everton gambled away a 2-0 lead in last weekend’s game with Brentford. Even though they started the game in top gear, everything went sideways for Frank Lampard’s men. Two of them got sent off, one scored an own goal – the result was that Brentford was able to turn the game around and win 3-2.

Such a catastrophe mustn’t happen again if the Toffees want to stay in the Premier League. Knowing that they Arsenal on the road in the final round, doing well today is a must. If they beat Crystal Palace, they will collect enough points to stay in the Prem regardless of what happens in the last round. That seems like good enough of a motivation for the Toffees to go all-in today.

Chelsea vs Leicester City Vegas Odds

Chelsea is coming off a heart-breaking penalty loss to Liverpool in the final of the FA Cup last weekend. They probably feel disappointed, but a win today would probably get their mojo back. It would also mean securing the third spot in the EPL table.

Winning, however, isn’t going to be easy as their opponent is Leicester City. These guys are boosted by their previous two performances, which saw them beat Norwich 3-0 and Watford 5-1. Sure, beating two already-relegated teams isn’t something they should be too proud of, but it still means they’re in the mood for playing soccer.

Plus, the Foxes come to Stamford Bridge without too many worries, knowing that they will stay in 9th position no matter what they do against Chelsea.

Another thing giving them confidence is that they got Jamie Vardy in the squad. The striker scored four goals in the last two games, which is great news for Leicester City fans considering that he had spent more than two months off the pitch due to injury.
