If you’re looking for some Premier League picks, look no further – Vegas Odds has you covered!

The Premier League is set to return this weekend following a two-week break.

Queen Elizabeth II’s sad passing earlier this month forced Matchday 8’s fixtures to be postponed and then there was an international break to allow UEFA Nations League fixtures and international friendlies, including the USMNT’s games against Japan and Saudi Arabia, to take place.

However, with the league now back to normal, let us take a look at every fixture scheduled for this weekend, as well as include our Premier League picks.

Premier League Matchday 9 Schedule

  • When: Saturday 1 Oct 2022 – Monday 3 Oct 2022
  • Location: Various Stadiums, United Kingdom
  • Channel: NBC Sports / Peacock

Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur Vegas Odds

These two sides are two of the Premier League’s most prolific teams when it comes to goals scored.

Already netting a massive 35 goals between them in just seven games, it would be extremely naive not to expect goals when these two face off in this weekend’s North London derby.

Premier League Predictions:

Liverpool vs Brighton and Hove Albion Vegas Odds

If Graham Potter had still been Brighton and Hove Albion’s manager, our Premier League picks may have been slightly different.

However, with Potter now managing Chelsea, it is going to be very tough for the Seagulls to travel to Anfield and expect to come away with anything.

Liverpool’s season has yet to really get going but following a prolonged rest, it would be a real shock if the Reds didn’t get the win this weekend.

Premier League Predictions:

Fulham vs Newcastle United Vegas Odds

This fixture is going under the radar, which is understandable considering there are two massive derbies also taking place this weekend.

However, do not write this one off. Fulham vs Newcastle United has the potential to be a real exciting contest.

While we do expect both teams to score, when it comes to our Premier League picks for this one, we’re going to back a goalscorer. Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic is definitely worth a pick considering he has already bagged six goals in seven league games.

Premier League Predictions:

Southampton vs Everton Vegas Odds

Their position in the table may not demonstrate it, but Frank Lampard’s Everton have actually been a really tough team to beat so far this season.

The Toffees have only lost two of their opening seven games but the bulk of their points have come from draws (4), and given Southampton’s resilience, particularly when playing at home, we are going to back the double chance in Everton’s favor.

Premier League Predictions:

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea Vegas Odds

Crystal Palace have not beaten Chelsea in their last 10 meetings in all competitions and we don’t expect that bleak record to change this weekend.

Although the Eagles are looking much improved under Patrick Vieira, given Chelsea’s wealth of attacking talent, including USA international Christian Pulisic, it is hard to envision anything other than a win for the Blues.

So, for that reason, we are going to back the boys in Blue to take all three points away from their cross-town rivals.

Premier League Predictions:

Bournemouth vs Brentford Vegas Odds

This one could go either way but taking into consideration their technical superiority, we are going to back Thomas Frank’s Brentford to come away with a narrow victory. We do expect goals though.

Premier League Predictions:

West Ham United vs Wolves Vegas Odds

West Ham United are a long way off the team they were last season.

Sitting just inside the relegation zone (18th) manager David Moyes will be feeling the pressure early on and unfortunately for the Scotsman, we expect Bruno Lage’s Wolves to pile the misery on.

Premier League Predictions:

Manchester City vs Manchester United Vegas Odds

The pick of the bunch this weekend is arguably the Manchester derby.

Not only is this fixture one to circle at the start of the season, but this one should have an extra bite to it due to both team’s impressive form, as well as star striker Erling Haaland, who was also wanted by the Red Devils prior to signing for their bitter-rivals during the summer transfer window.

Manchester City forward Erling Haaland (9) looks into the crowd after the exhibition match between FC Bayern Munich and Manchester City on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis.

Manchester City are still up there with the world’s best soccer teams, but despite losing his opening two games, new manager Erik ten Hag has certainly got the red half of Manchester firing.

Although Pep Guardiola’s Citizens are going to be rightful favorites, we do expect to see both goalkeepers beaten at some point this weekend.

Premier League Predictions:

Leeds United vs Aston Villa Vegas Odds

American coach Jesse Marsch, who was disciplined for poor conduct, will return to the touchline for this weekend’s clash against Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa, but this will be a really tough fixture for the Whites.

Aston Villa are way down in the table following a poor start but their last two games have seen an upturn in form and assuming Gerrard can get the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Danny Ings firing, Leeds United will be in for a real challenge.

Premier League Predictions:

Leicester City vs Nottingham Forest Vegas Odds

This matchup will see the league’s two worst teams go at it. Currently sitting 19th and rock-bottom 20th, both sides are desperate for a win.

Failure to win this weekend will almost certainly see Brendan Rodgers dismissed from his job with opposition manager Steve Cooper likely to face the same fate, so needless to say, the pressure is very much on both of these teams.

However, even though their results have not demonstrated it, Leicester City have played some decent soccer during spells, and given the fact they’ll be playing at their home stadium, we are going to back the Foxes to finally get their first win of the season.
