Raptors vs Warriors Vegas Odds: Warriors Getting Back At Toronto

  • The Golden State Warriors host the Toronto Raptors in their first game at home after a while
  • Steph Curry’s appearance is doubtful due to his hip injury.
  • Toronto Raptors play much better on the road than at home.

Dub Nation had one very nasty tour through the East, during which they played a lot of tough games. Steve Kerr’s side is back home and has another challenge in the form of very unstable, but talented Toronto Raptors. The rematch of the 2019 NBA finals draws very great attention, despite the current difference in results between the two sides.

Game Preview

Raptors On the West Coast

Toronto is experiencing what the Warriors did a few days ago. The Canadian franchise is on a road trip through the West, already playing three games against adamant opponents, two of them located on the West Coast.

After losing to the Trail Blazers and the Jazz, they stopped that negative streak by beating the Sacramento Kings at the Golden One Center, 108-89. Even though the Kings aren’t some big hurdle, a triumph like this is useful for Nick Nurse’s new-look Toronto.

The Rookie of the Year favorite, Scottie Barnes, had one of the worst games of the year, with only two points. But Pascal Siakam dropped 32, while Gary Trent Jr added 23. Overall, the Raptors play much better on the road this season, having a 6-3 record so far.

Dub Nation Back in the Crib

After losing in Charlotte in the opening game of their tour, the Warriors regrouped, answering with three consecutive wins. The most important over the Brooklyn Nets and after that over the Cavaliers and the Pistons.

We don’t need to mention who is their best player. Currently, Steph Curry is by far the biggest contender for the NBA MVP award. His participation in Sunday’s event is unsure, but we believe in his return after a pause in Detroit.

Back in Motor City, the Warriors appeared without several big names, but still ended up on the winning side, 105-102. Jordan Poole had 32 points, while Andrew Wiggins scored 27, successfully covering up multiple absent players.

Head to Head

Many remember the 2019 NBA Finals when the Raptors took the title in six games. In the 2021 season, both teams had won at home, the Warriors 106-105, and the Raptors 130-77.

NBA Picks Today

We believe that Steve Kerr used hip trouble only to excuse Curry for the game in Detroit. The same goes for all the other players who didn’t appear against the Pistons. Steph, Draymond, Iguodala, and Otto Porter had four days to rest and calm down, so it is reasonable to expect them in the lineup on Sunday.

If that happens, the outcome is pretty clear, GSW wins and extends the winning streak to four contests. It is always nice to beat the big rival, especially the one who got you in the finals, and we are pretty sure that Steve Kerr won’t miss this chance to torture Nick Nurse a little bit.
