- The Seattle Seahawks will visit the Washington Football Team on Monday Night Football.
- This is the ultimate chance for the Seahawks to keep their playoff chances alive.
- On the other side, the Football Team looks alive, following back-to-back wins nobody expected.
Russell Wilson doesn’t have too many options, and he needs to make some sort of a miracle to push his team into the playoff hunt. The clash in DC is one of the most important for the Seahawks in the past couple of years.
Washington received a massive morale boost with two consecutive triumphs, and despite suffering some pretty nasty hits in the past few weeks, the hope of seeing the playoffs is still present among their fans.

Last Call for the Seahawks
And not only for this season but in general. There are certain rumors in the NFL community about Pete Carroll leaving the Seahawks, and Russell Wilson demanding a trade at the end of the campaign. Therefore, Seattle needs to stabilize as soon as possible and enter the playoffs at any cost.
The former NFL MVP isn’t willing to endure any more failures in the quest for another Super Bowl title, and it seems he finally realized that he has one more opponent opposite to him – age. Wilson was powerless last week against the Cardinals, unable to make a TD toss for the second straight game.
As usual, Seattle’s running game was miserable with only 86 yards on the ground (Alex Collins 36 on 10 carries), which is too low. Tyler Lockett caught 115 receiving yards but without a score.
Suddenly the Football Team Has a Chance
Two weeks ago, Washington was 2-6 and was practically written off from any playoff combination. Fast forward several days and the team from DC has solid chances of bouncing back into the hunt for the postseason.
At first, they defeated the Super Bowl champions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 29-19, losing Chase Young in that one. Frustrated but not demoralized, they went to Charlotte, where they recorded another victory against the Panthers, 27-21.
Taylor Heinicke had 206 passing yards and three TD tosses, while Terry McLaurin caught 103 receiving yards and had one score. With 23 contested catches, he leads the league by far ahead of all the other receivers.
Head to Head – Seahawks Won the Last Time
Seattle visited Washington in 2020, posting a win at the FedEx Field, 20-15. Overall, in the previous four meetings, the guests were the winners.
NFL Picks Today
It is time for the tradition to stop and see one host finally ending up on the winning side in this matchup. Overall, the Football Team is a better-balanced unit than the upcoming rivals, who are one-dimensional in the attack. Even without Chase Young, we think that at some point, WFT’s defense will make a few stops, which will be capitalized on the other end by McLaurin and Gibson. Our prognosis is that the Football Team will win and cover a minimal spread.
