The PGA Tour schedule has it’s one and only stop in Canada this week at the RBC Canadian Open. Hamilton Golf and Country Club will be the host site for the 2019 event, and there are several of big name players heading north of the border. This is the final tuneup before the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach next week, and everyone in the field will be looking to build some momentum before the third major of the season. 10 of the top 30 players in the world will tee off on Thursday, and Dustin Johnson is the reigning champion at this event. Let’s take a look at the list of the current odds to win the RBC Canadian Open with a breakdown of some of the best bets this weekend.

The Favorites:

Dustin Johnson +600: Johnson is the reigning champion at this event, and he seems to be the favorite every time he tees it up. Johnson posted a score of 23 under par a year ago and is clearly comfortable playing in Canada.

Brooks Koepka +650: Koepka will be making his first start since winning the PGA Championship for a second straight year, and he is playing extremely well. Koepka can absolutely bomb the ball and will make this course play extremely short.

Rory McIlroy +800: McIlroy appeared to have his game fixed after winning The Players Championship back in March, but he really struggled this past weekend. McIlroy missed the cut at the Memorial Golf Tournament and isn’t playing his best golf heading into this event.

The Contenders:

Justin Thomas +1600: Justin Thomas hasn’t won a tournament since last August, and you have to feel like his time is coming. Thomas also missed the cut at The Memorial but is always a golfer to consider when he is in the field.
Matt Kuchar +2200
Webb Simpson +2200
Sergio Garcia +2800
Bubba Watson +3300: Bubba Watson has been largely forgotten about by the casual golf fans, but he is starting to play really good golf again. The fast track at this course should help him get more distance, and he will be looking to get momentum heading into the US Open.
Henrik Stenson +3300
Scott Piercy +3300

The Underdogs:

Brandt Snedeker +4000
Shane Lowry +4000
Jason Dufner +5000
Jim Furyk +5000: Jim Furyk had a disappointing weekend at the Memorial Tournament this past weekend, but he is a golfer to consider for this event. This course is not as long as a lot of other ones, and Furyk has a great short game. Keep your eye on Furyk this weekend.
Aaron Wise +6600
Bud Cauley +6600
Daniel Berger +6600
Keegan Bradley +6600
Kevin Tway +6600
Ryan Palmer +6600: Palmer might be one of the best value bets in this field. He finished top-20 in his only other previous start at Hamilton and has performed well at this event in recent years. He would have to play extremely well to knock off the top players, but he has the capability.
Sungjae Im +6600
Everyone Else +8000 or Higher

The Pick:

There are a lot of terrific choices to bet on heading into this event, but I’m going out on a limb and saying Bubba Watson is going to be the winner. Watson has been quietly building up confidence, and he should bomb his drives all over the course this weekend. Bet Bubba Watson +3300 to win the 2019 RBC Canadian Open.
