With the season right around the corner, it’s time to start looking at the teams with the best odds to win it all. Read below for more.
New England Patriots (+700)
A new year, yet nothing has changed. The Patriots are voted as the team with the best odds to win it all this season. They lost Eric Decker to retirement and recently cut Kenny Britt, but they’ll have enough receivers to get by.
There is enough talent on this roster to win the AFC East every year for the rest of time. Tom Brady and co. will be ready to go come week one, and even with Dion Lewis now gone, there is enough backfield talent. Beware the Pats.
LA Rams (+850)
Another year of Sean McVay and Jared Goff means another playoff appearance is coming. The hope for the Rams this year has got to be at least one playoff win. They are good enough and deep enough to win the NFC, no doubt.
They have options galore as far as receivers go, and their defensive line is not to be messed with. They had a terrific offseason and have a good shot to take their division again.
The Rams have to be pleased with their desire to bring a title to L.A. Gurley was asked about his team’s chances and his thoughts on Super Bowl LIII and had the following to say:
“If we are not playing for the Super Bowl, then there’s no reason to play.”
Philadelphia Eagles (+1000)
The defending champs are tied for the second-best odds, and for good reason. They traded Torrey Smith and opted not to bring back LeGarrette Blount, but they added Mike Wallace and will get Darren Sproles back. Whether it is with Wentz or Foles, they have enough to get it done.
They are very well coached and have a team that cannot be beaten. They dominated their way through the NFC portion of the postseason before lighting up the Butler-less Patriots for 41. Watch out, because it is #FlyEaglesFly season again.
Pittsburgh Steelers (+1000)
It seems they will still have Le’Veon for this year, though they have not come to terms yet. Big Ben is back, and they got rid of Martavis Bryant, finally. Ju-Ju Smith Schuster is due for a major season as well so their offense is all set.
Defensively, Pittsburgh is set up to be dominant, and the support they get from Ryan Shazier has got to be something that still inspires them daily. They’ve got a dynamic pass rush and an effective secondary.
Minnesota Vikings (+1200)
One of many teams to make a QB change in the offseason, Kirk Cousins is now in control of the QB job in Minneapolis. They are getting Dalvin Cook back in the mix, and they are going to be dangerous. It will not be easy to hold off the Packers this time around, but they have the team to do it.
They have a terrific secondary and linebacking core that should be enough to help them to great success. They’ve made a kicking change, but with Mike Zimmer at the helm, they are ready for great things again.
