UEFA Champions League Odds: Man City Favorites to Finally Win it

  • The draw for the UEFA Champions League round of 16 has been made on Monday.
  • UEFA had to repeat the who process due to a software malfunction.
  • Manchester City and Bayern Munich are the top favorites for winning the title.

A few days after the UCL draw, the tempers have settled, and we can now talk more clearly about the entire situation in the most prominent club football competition in the world.

The bookmakers have stabilized the odds, and we now have more accurate offers for various markets. Of course, we are here only because of the most important one – the winner.

City and Bayern Still Leading the Pack

The Citizens and Bayern Munich have been the joining favorites since the start of the group stages, occasionally switching places. And indeed, these two teams have shown the most up until now, finishing first in their respective groups without too many problems. That especially goes for Bayern, who posted all six wins in six events.

TeamOdds
Manchester City+300
Bayern Munich+410
Liverpool+500
Chelsea+700
PSG+800

Though, the bookies placed Man City atop of the favorites’ list +300, while on the other side, Bayern sits at +410. They won’t have such a demanding task in the first round of the knockout stage. Bayern heads for Austria to meet Red Bull Salzburg while City plays against Sporting.

Even though these teams showed quality, they shouldn’t present a tough challenge for the two crews mentioned above.

Liverpool, Chelsea, and PSG Waiting for Their Chance

The Reds (+500) are speeding up, and at the moment, we might say that Klopp’s side is arguably in the best shape of all the teams in Europe. Salah, Mane, and the boys are trashing and bashing every rival that stands in their way, but the question is, can they keep on at the same pace?

Chelsea (+700) and PSG (+800) are slightly behind, and they too have their ambitions. The Blues are in a little crisis, not playing as expected, while PSG didn’t reach its desired level of performance since Messi arrived. Also, the Parisians meet Real Madrid in the knockout stage.

Giants From the Back Row

Ajax (+1400), Real Madrid (+1600), Man United (+1800), and Juventus (+3000) are all former champions of Europe. However, it seems that time has passed. They all have low chances of taking the title for various reasons. Real has is still on shaky ground, plus they play with PSG. Ajax is solid, but their group was too easy, while Juve and Man United have numerous problems in their game.

Don’t get us wrong, one of these teams might end up winning in the end, but it would be a major surprise considering the way they play now.

The Others

Atletico, Inter Milan, Villarreal, Benicia, Lille, Red Bull, and Sporting are at the bottom of the list. They are probably finishing their UCL adventure here. With all due respect, they don’t have the quality for entering the top eight teams on the continent. Passing the group stage is a big deal for them, and the majority have already fulfilled their goals for this season.
