UFC: Kamaru Usman vs. Colby Covington Opening Odds

  • Colby Covington will be Kamaru Usman’s next challenger for his UFC welterweight belt.
  • Usman – Covington II will be a rematch from 2019 classic bout.
  • The champ opens the -245 favorite.

MMA fans received exciting news Monday as the UFC announced that welterweight champion Kamaru Usman will defend his welterweight belt in November’s UFC 268 card versus Colby Covington.

This will be the second time these two 170-pounders meet-up in the UFC octagon. In December of 2019 Usman successfully defended his belt for the first time via a 5th round TKO. Usman – Covington I was an instant classic and was a 2019 Fight of the Year candidate.

Since their first fight, Usman has been on a tear, racking up a 3-0 record with two early stoppages. Covington, on the other hand, has not been as active- his only fight was a 2020 TKO victory over former champ Tyron Woodley.

Not surprisingly, online betting giant BetOnline.ag opened the No. 1 ranked pound-for-pound Usman a decent-sized favorite for November’s rematch:

If the second go-around is anywhere close to as exciting as their first match-up, MMA fans are in for a treat.
