Men’s Skiathlon Vegas Odds & Prediction
Athlete | Odds |
---|---|
Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo | -225 |
Alexander Bolshunov | +300 |
Simen Hegstad Krueger | +1200 |
Hans Christer Holund | +1800 |
Sergey Ustiugov | +1800 |
Alexey Chervotkin | +2500 |
The first event that gets underway at the Winter Olympics is the skiathlon on February 6th. Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo is the clear favorite at the top of the betting, as Norway look to continue their dominance in the event. The 25-year-old is the most successful male sprinter in the history of the World Cup, and will be looking to win a fourth Olympic title this winter.
Klaebo won golds in the individual sprint, 4x10km relay, and team sprint at the 2018 Games. His most likely rival for the gold will be compatriot Simen Hegstad Krueger, who is the remaining Olympic champion. However, we will be supporting the favorite in the betting.

Men’s Sprint Freestyle Final Vegas Odds & Prediction
Athlete | Odds |

Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo | -455 |
Richard Jouve | +1000 |
Sergey Ustiugov | +1000 |
Federico Pellegrino | +1200 |
Lucas Chanavat | +1400 |
The men’s sprint freestyle final is the second gold medal that will be handed out, with the final taking place on February 8th. Once again, it looks extremely hard to see past Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo, who has won 47 events coming into the Winter Olympics.
The Norwegian won gold in the classical event four years ago and would be extremely difficult to bet against once again. Federico Pellegrino was runner-up in that event, and was fourth overall in the sprint standings at the World Cup, and is the main danger.
Free Pick:
- Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo
Men’s 15km Vegas Odds & Prediction
Athlete | Odds |
---|---|
Iivo Niskanen | -125 |
Alexander Bolshunov | +200 |
Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo | +300 |
Alexey Chervotkin | +2000 |
Hans Christer Holund | +2500 |
There looks set to be an interesting three-way shootout for the gold medal in the men’s 15km. Finnish athlete Iivo Niskanen leads the way in the betting, as he searches for a third gold medal at the Winter Olympics. The Fin won gold in the team sprint in 2014, and the 50 km classical in 2018.
However, we like the chances of Alexander Bolshunov in this event, as he finished top of the standings in the distance events at the World Cup. The 25-year-old will be looking for a first Winter Olympic gold, having won three silvers and a bronze at the 2017 Games.
Free Pick:
- Alexander Bolshunov
Men’s 50km Mass Vegas Odds & Prediction
Athlete | Odds |
---|---|
Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo | +200 |
Simen Hegstad Krueger | +200 |
Hans Christer Holund | +450 |
Alexander Bolshunov | +500 |
Sjur Roethe | +600 |
The final Winter Olympic gold available to the men in the cross-country skiing is the 50km mass. It will be a competitive final event of the Games for the men, with a number of athletes having excellent chances to claim the gold. Once again, Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo leads the betting, but he is joint-favorite alongside Simen Hegstad Krueger.
Iivo Niskanen won gold in this event four years ago, with Bolshunov finishing second. The Russian finished third in this event in the World Cup, while Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo was second. However, we will be taking a chance on Hans Christer Holund winning the gold, having finished sixth in the event four years ago.

- Hans Christer Holund
