- 2021 Royal Rumble takes place at Tropicana Field, Florida
- Last year’s winners were Drew McIntyre and Charlotte Flair
- Keith Lee and Bianca Belair current favourites in betting
The Royal Rumble is one of the biggest events on the WWE calendar, and that will still be the case this year despite the fact that the event will be taking place behind closed doors. The road to WrestleMania officially gets underway at the Rumble, but which superstars will win the respective Royal Rumble matches to main event the biggest show of the year?
WWE Royal Rumble 2021 Schedule
- When: Sunday 31st January
- Where: Tropicana Field, Florida
- How To Watch: WWE Network
Men’s Royal Rumble Match
There is more excitement than normal around the men’s Royal Rumble match this year, as it has an unpredictable element that hasn’t been seen for years. It is genuinely one of the hardest to call, as a case can be made for all three at the top of the betting. Big E, Keith Lee and Daniel Bryan have all been favourite to win over recent weeks. Big E is destined for great things, and could challenge Roman Reigns should he win the match.
Meanwhile, Lee will be competing in just his second Rumble match, and is expected to go on to face WWE champion Drew McIntyre, who won the title at last year’s Mania, regardless of the outcome of this match. Daniel Bryan could be the pick to win the match, as he has built up his appearance in the match over recent weeks, as he claimed that a win in the Rumble is the only thing missing from his stellar career.
- Daniel Bryan (+300)
Women’s Royal Rumble Match
Unlike the men’s Royal Rumble, there is a clear favourite in the betting for the women’s match. Bianca Belair is destined for great things, and a win in this match will see her rightfully earn a title opportunity against Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. That is a calibre of match that could feasibly headline one of the nights at Mania this year.
Alexa Bliss is the most intriguing superstar in the whole of WWE at present, but her ongoing involvement in the feud between The Fiend and Randy Orton could be potentially costly for her. There would be backlash should Flair win for a second year in a row, but Rhea Ripley would be a welcome winner.
- Bianca Belair (+250)
WWE Universal Championship- Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens
The biggest title on SmackDown will be on the line, as Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns clash in a last man standing match. It is heavily believed that Reigns will successfully defend the championship, before taking on a bigger rival at Mania in April. However, this should be an enjoyable match, as Owens is very rarely involved in anything that isn’t entertaining.
- Roman Reigns (-800)
