Game Preview
There is a lot to like about this Roughnecks team, including their 12 sacks and 17 tackles for loss, both of which lead the league through two weeks. Houston also has five interceptions, and Wade Phillips’ veteran presence has worked wonders for this team.
Quarterback Brandon Silvers has thrown seven touchdowns already, and he is ironically tied with Brahmas QB Jack Coan in that category for the XFL lead.

Former USC WR Deontay Burnett has enjoyed his time in the XFL, and the Roughnecks look like one of the best teams in the XFL on both sides of the ball.
The Brahmas smacked the Guardians in Week 2, but facing Houston is a much different type of game. Jack Coan has been sensational through two weeks, and the former Notre Dame QB looks every bit like he might catch the attention of NFL teams after this XFL season concludes.
Kalen Ballage has been marvelous at running back and has 107 yards and 36 carries, both of which lead the XFL through two weeks.
Prediction
There is a chance that these two teams finish the season as the two best in the XFL, and it will be interesting to see how Houston plays against a tough San Antonio team. However, the Roughnecks’ defense is outstanding, and that might be a problem for Hines Ward’s team. The Roughnecks get the win by a field goal in the closest game of the weekend.
