XFL Week 4: Houston vs Orlando Prediction, Odds, and Picks (Mar 11)

  • The undefeated Roughnecks face the winless Guardians.
  • The XFL season has been up and down so far.
  • Houston HC Wade Phillips has worked wonders in the XFL.

The quality of the football in the XFL as a whole has been disappointing, although that’s to be expected. The Roughnecks look like the best team in the league, and Brandon Silvers has been a fantastic quarterback.

The Guardians, on the other hand, had to resort back to Paxton Lynch, and they fell to the Arlington Renegades in a not-so-exciting 10-9 final score.

Game Preview

Oddly enough, this is the exact same spread for Orlando from last week’s game to Arlington, and they covered it! However, the Guardians don’t have much hope for a reason, and if it weren’t for a late Paxton Lynch touchdown run, the Guardians wouldn’t have even scored a touchdown at all.

Lynch didn’t throw an interception or a touchdown, and he led the team in rushing. That’s never a good sign, especially after Lynch got benched earlier in the season.

The Roughnecks got the victory against the San Antonio Brahmas in the Texas showdown, 22-13. Houston scored all three touchdowns in the first half and went silent in the second half, which is somewhat concerning for Wade Phillips’ team.

But, the Houston defense played well, and a late stand gave them the victory against the Brahmas.

Paxton Lynch couldn’t throw for a touchdown against Arlington. Now he gets the Roughnecks and their loaded defense. On top of that, Houston can score points in a hurry.

This game gets completely out of hand. Not only do the Roughnecks win, but they crush the 8.5-point spread even on the road in Orlando.
