Super Bowl 55 Matchup

Super Bowl 55 will have the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This game will also feature the young QB superstar in Patrick Mahomes taking on Tom Brady, arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history.
This is the second straight Super Bowl appearance for the Kansas City Chiefs and they are also the defending champs. Tampa Bay has not been in the Super Bowl since 2004 when they won that game against the Oakland Raiders.
Both teams were top-five in the NFL in scoring this season, and these are the two best passing teams in the league.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs are the most feared offense in the league, especially when it comes to the passing game. Kansas City led the NFL with over 303 passing yards per game, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the future face of the NFL.
Wide receivers Mecole Hardman and Tyreek Hill are nearly impossible to cover, and are dangerous when they are in the open field. Tight end Travis Kelce is an absolute monster and set an NFL record for receiving yards at his position.
The defense is solid as well, but it is the offense that carries this team.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers weren’t even a playoff team a season ago, but Tom Brady changed the direction of the franchise when he showed up. Tampa had some growing pains early in the season, but this team has not lost since that Week 12 loss to the Chiefs.
Tampa Bay averaged 30.8 points per game this season, while holding opponents to just 22 points per game. The Buccaneers racked up 48 sacks during the regular season, and that will come into play in the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl Predictions
The Kansas City Chiefs were able to win the regular-season matchup over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and it’s hard to see this game playing out any differently. This should be a high-scoring affair and there won’t be a ton of running the football.
Tom Brady always delivers in the Super Bowl and he will have the Buccaneers offense looking sharp in this game. Tampa Bay will hit on some big plays, but they are facing the best offense in the NFL.
- Kansas City Chiefs: 34
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 27
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs simply have too many weapons and that offense is nearly impossible to stop. The Chiefs will have to come up with some big plays late, but they are going to win another Super Bowl.
Super Bowl: A Massive Event
The Super Bowl is the biggest sporting event in the United States each year, and arguably the biggest in the world. This game features the top two NFL teams each season, but there is much more to it than just a football game.
Betting on the Super Bowl is also an experience of its own, and it’s annually a huge day for sportsbooks around the world when it comes to Super Bowl odds. The Super Bowl attracts both football fans making NFL predictions and non-football fans and the entire country is glued to their TV sets.

History of the Super Bowl

The first Super Bowl was played on January 15, 1967, but it did not use the Super Bowl name at that time. AFL–NFL World Championship Game was the first official name until the two leagues merged in 1970 and started Super Bowl history with the namesake it goes by today.
Traditionally, the game was played in January, but it has been played on the first Sunday in February since the 2004 season. Instead of a year, Roman Numerals are used to identify the Super Bowl each year, except for Super Bowl 50.
The Green Bay Packers won the first two Super Bowls ever played, led by legendary coach Vince Lombardi. Following his death, the annual trophy was named the Lombardi Trophy and was first given out at Super Bowl V.
The location of the Super Bowl changes every year, but it has been played in the Miami area more than ten times.
Previous Super Bowl Winners
There have been 20 different NFL franchises that have won a Super Bowl, and eight other franchises have made an appearance. The Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans are the only teams to never appear in the Super Bowl.
Super Bowl Champions

The New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers have both won six Super Bowl championships, which is a tie for the most all-time. New England also leads the NFL with 11 Super Bowl appearances.
There are seven different franchises that have won back-to-back Super Bowls, and the Steelers have accomplished this feat twice.
