- The Mariners need a win streak to break things loose.
- New York has fully cooled off, and is caught in a slide.
- The Yankees are 264-195 in their all-time history against Seattle.
The Mariners and the Yankees match up in a coast-to-coast clash. Both teams have struggled to break out this year, especially as of late. If they continue their losing ways, they may miss the playoffs this season.

Prop Bets
Prediction:
Luis Castillo was Seattle’s major deadline acquisition in 2022. He went on to make a strong impact for them, pitching to a 3.17 ERA, and helping to lead them to their first postseason appearance in two decades. Castillo has been even better this season, currently holding a 2.73 ERA. Unfortunately, he hasn’t had much support, which has resulted in a 4-5 record. I’d still feel confident in betting on the over here.

Prediction:
The Yankees have gone ice-cold since the Aaron Judge injury, completely shutting down on offense. They needed Anthony Rizzo, who was hitting .307 at the time, to pick up the slack and lead the team. Instead, Rizzo shut down without the benefit of other strong hitters to support him in the lineup. In the month of June, he has gone just 4 for 48 (.083 BA) at the plate. I’d take the under for Rizzo until Judge is healthy.

Prediction:
Another hero of Seattle’s drought-ending 2022 season was Cal “Big Dumper” Raleigh. He didn’t post the greatest numbers last season, finishing with a .211 BA and .774 OPS, but he came up clutch when it mattered most, and racked up 27 home runs. He’s lost some power this year, currently with 9 HRs and a .716 OPS. That being said, Raleigh still comes up big when the Mariners need it, so I like the over here.
