MMA – News and Information
The sport of mixed martial arts (MMA) has gradually become one of the most popular events to watch on tv and now to wager with at the offshore sportsbooks. Betting on MMA makes the sport more interesting and when done properly, very profitable. Unlike many other sports such as baseball, football, hockey and basketball, MMA events provide gamblers 10-12 options for betting on each event.
A typical UFC or Bellator event will normally have 12 fights and that gives the bettors 12 shots at cashing in on their favorite fight or fighter. Not only can gamblers bet on who will win the fight but most offshore sportsbooks will provide prop wagers and total round plays, which afford the player to earn some extra cash off the odds.
For example, bettors can bet on what round a particular fight will end and who will win that fight. If you pick Fighter A at +285 and that fighter wins the fight, in the round that you picked, you would win $285 on just a $100 risk! This is what makes the sport of MMA one of the most popular forms of betting in the industry.
