Week 10 Opening Lines: What Stands Out
The Lions and Patriots open the day in Munich. Detroit is the designated home team at the Allianz Arena and opens as a one-point favorite, with a total of 49.5. International games bring travel and an early start for both teams, and with a spread this close, the market essentially sees it as a coin flip.
49ers at Cowboys has the highest total on the board. At 54.5, the books expect points. San Francisco is laying 4.5 on the road, and Dallas, which hasn’t been good enough at home this season, will need to show it can keep up.
Bills -7.5 at the Jets is the biggest road number of the week apart from the Rams. Seven is a key number, so anyone thinking of backing Buffalo will want to see where this goes during the week.
Kansas City is -3.5 in Atlanta, at -115. The extra juice suggests the books could move this to -4 if early money comes in on the Chiefs. If you like Atlanta, +3.5 is a valuable number to get.
Texans -3 in Cleveland, at -120, has the lowest total of the week at 39.5. Cleveland’s offense ranks 29th in scoring, and its quarterback situation, with Shedeur Sanders starting while Deshaun Watson is in the concussion protocol, will be the big question this week.
The Saints are home underdogs to Carolina. New Orleans is +1 at home, which tells you how the market rates these two teams right now. Sunday’s results could move this one quickly.
Steelers at Bengals on Sunday Night Football opens at Cincinnati -3, right on the key number, and the -106 price suggests it could move either way.
