Cleveland Browns
The Browns are still in the playoff picture, but after losing to the Steelers 27-6 last weekend, things are much tougher for Deshaun Watson and the boys. Once again, their defense looked pretty mediocre, and overall, the Browns score only 17.4 ppg, 29th in the NFL.
On the other hand, the defense began to show weaknesses, which is understandable. They are spending too much time on the field, and that’s bound to create fatigue.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints also played their last game against the Steelers, and they, too, lost, 16-10. However, Kellen Moore and his unit had a week-long bye after that, giving them enough time to rest and scout the upcoming rivals.
Saints’ defense fell apart in the last 5 games, allowing 146 points combined. Overall, they are among the worst defenses in the NFL, and the main reason why the team from the Big Easy doesn’t have a positive record.
Browns vs. Saints Predictions
We bet on the Saints here because of one very important thing: an indoor venue. The Browns didn’t play a single game under the roof all season, and they have to adjust fast now. Meanwhile, the Saints’ offense will flourish here, while harsh conditions suit the Browns better because of their defense. Obviously, outdoor stadiums are better for defense than indoor venues.
