2026-27 Premier League Winner Contenders
Arsenal (+125)
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will be the red-hot favorites to make a succesful defense of the Premier League title this season. The Gunners flexed their muscles to win the Community Shield in their final warm-up fixture, but it could be a bad omen that only eight teams have won the league title after winning the curtain raiser. Big money has been spent on the additions of Bruno Guimaraes and Christos Tzolis this summer, but the Gunners will likely need to be more flexible in their attacking threat from open play after relying on their prowess from corners throughout 2025-26.
Man City (+350)
A new era under Enzo Maresca is set, as Pep Guardiola’s ten-year association with Man City ended at the conclusion of the previous campaign. Maresca has wasted little time in putting his print on the team, adding Elliott Anderson to the squad for a then-British fee. However, teething problems were evident in the hapless Community Shield loss against Arsenal. However, it is unlikely that City will be too far away, especially with Erling Haaland leading the line after netting 20 goals in each of his campaigns since joining the Premier League.
Liverpool (+600)
Arne Slot was given his marching orders at the end of last season, with Liverpool turning their attention to former Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola to lead the club into the next era. The Reds will likely play more expansive soccer under the Spaniard, but how well the style suits the squad’s aging players and a busy fixture list remains to be seen. More will be expected of Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz this season after a bedding-in campaign last term. Young central defender Jeremy Jacquet should form a solid partnership with Virgil van Dijk in the backline.
Dark Horse to Consider – Man United (+950)
Michael Carrick was rewarded for his excellent spell in interim charge with the full-time job at the end of last season. Carrick oversaw United’s return to the Champions League from a position of weakness following a failed Ruben Amorim reign. In fact, no club picked up more points than the Red Devils following Carrick’s appointment.
In Bruno Fernandes, United have one of the best players in the EPL, while a front line consisting of Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Marcus Rashford ranks among the best in the Premier League. United may need to add further numbers to the midfield ranks after adding Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos, but there are certainly positive vibes surrounding the club heading into the new campaign.
